  1. Clearly you are not one of the millions of people who’s lives are being increasingly impacted by the UK’s economic problems.
  2. I don’t disagree that interest rates have been too low for two long and that there are many benefits to ‘reasonable interest rates’. But that’s cold comfort to those who now face massive increases to their mortgages and the many who will lose their homes.
  3. That depends on the neighborhood.
  4. Police in England haven’t been attending burglaries for some time now. It’s unusual to even see a cop other than on the motorway.
  5. The UK economy is heading into recession, is under high inflation and suffers anemic growth. Sunak has cancelled most of Truss’ lunatic economic policies but there’s a £50Billion hole in public services. Interest rates are set to rise again, which will drive many more home owners into the mass of people struggling to afford to pay bills, feed themselves and keep a roof over their head. Sunak is openly discussing cuts to public spending (AKA Austerity 2) the brunt of which will be borne by those already struggling economic hardship. Meanwhile the self harm of Brexit continues to damage the economy, constrain businesses and growth and ‘sunny uplands’ are out of sight and out of mind. The US cavalry are not riding over the hill with a trade deal. The UK needs to stop looking for the unicorn, there are no unicorns, it was always donkey wearing a dunce’s hat, deal with the elephant in the room. On a positive note, at least the UK got it’s borders back.
  6. Meanwhile, what millions of people are actually having to deal with: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/nov/02/uk-food-prices-soar-by-fastest-rate-on-record-as-cost-of-living-crisis-bites
  7. So you’ll accept the verdict but if you don’t get to see the footage you’ll have your doubts. In other words your acceptance of the Jury verdict is conditional. Why doesn’t that surprise me?!
  8. The trial, that’s the bit where both the prosecution and defense present and challenge evidence and testimony. The Jury then decide a verdict. Let’s see who does and doesn’t accept the evidence and testimony presented at trial, let’s see who does or doesn’t accept the Jury’s verdict.
  9. I don’t wish anything was the case. I shall however take note of your response to body camera footage, if revealed, and your response if not revealed. I myself shall wait for the trial and look forward to the Jury’s verdict, which I shall accept regardless of what the verdict is.
  10. I don’t think it’ll make a blind bit of difference. I suspect, based on your posts in this thread, you’ll simply switch to asking more inane question, such as where the shadows fall or the angle of view. Here’s what I’m going to do. Wait for the trial. If you have any relevant information you believe the defense, or indeed the prosecution might benefit from, do your civil duty and pass it on to the attorneys, I’m sure they’ll be delighted to hear from you.
  11. I can think of a relatively recent example in which hundreds of hours worth of body camera, security and news camera footage has been released depicting a mass violent attack. And yet very many right wingers insist it depicts a peaceful protest. We can all also read through your posts in this thread. So please excuse me if I don’t buy your wanting to see body camera evidence before you make up your mind.
  12. How very convenient.
  13. Trump really doesn’t like being held accountable under the law. He needs to get used to it.
  14. I’m not aware of this alternative science(TM) of yours. Maybe the ‘politically motivated’ thing came from the same place as your need to refer to others as ‘collectivists’.
  15. Don’t worry Lindsey, still has his Fifth Amendment rights. Or he could just turn up, stand up, take the oath and tell the truth. What will it be?
  16. Let’s not address the myriad problems people in the UK are facing, let’s scapegoat migrants.
  17. I suggest taking this up with the people who told you they were going to fix the problem.
  18. He’s withdrawn most of Truss’ lunacy which has calmed the markets and he’s said a few crowd pleasing things. But he hasn’t actually done anything yet. There’s a Tory created £50,000,000,000 hole in the National finances and Sunak is weeks away from the budget that will address that hole. Will he tax windfall profits, unearned incomes, sign up for the CCCB or will he enact Tory Austerity 2. Putting an end to Truss’ lunacy was the easy bit, now he needs to deliver.
  19. UK taxes due are calculated between April 6~April 5, what a tax payer lost in previous years is irrelevant. she’ll and BP’s international (non UK) businesses do not pay tax in the UK. Good to see you sticking up for vast windfall profits over ordinary people struggling to heat their homes.
  20. And there you have it, primed for a conspiracy. I’ll wait for the trial.
  21. And if you don’t see the tapes (which may or may not exist)? Or if you are told there are no tapes?
  22. So, what you have been told the police said doesn’t match what you have been told Paul Pelosi said.
