  1. Not at all. The problem is nations with fertility rates below 2.1, the point below which the population shrinks. The UK is currently you at 1.49, down from 1.55 in 2021. If I was planning life on the income from a UK state pension I’d be making new plans.
  2. But it’s not Jonny. I spent much of the past three years in and out of NHS hospitals and clinics, none where ‘full of immigrants’. The foreign doctors, nurses and professional staff I spoke with all had excellent English.
  3. Yes it’s true that young people face huge financial difficulties. That’s down to the massive shift in wealth distribution since the early 80s, precisely the time when building public housing was wound back and the housing stock that existed sold off. Scapegoating immigrants makes a useful distraction from the actual causes.
  4. You’ve got a wild imagination Jonny. How about waiting with your broken pelvis and refusing treatment or assistance from any doctor, nurse health professional who isn’t ‘native British born and bred’? That would show ‘em!
  5. The UK economy and British citizens relying on state pensions and public services need immigration. The UK has really good deal that gave the nation access to young educated and skilled workers, many of who came to the Uk for short term work, I wonder what happened to that and what was it replaced with? “The ONS found that the fertility rate across England and Wales fell to 1.49 children per woman in 2022, down from 1.55 in 2021. To maintain a population, its “replacement rate” needs to be at least 2.1 children per woman, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).” https://www.local.gov.uk/topics/social-care-health-and-integration/falling-birth-rates-turning-point-public-services#:~:text=The ONS found that the, down from 1.55 in 2021.
  6. Next time you go to A&E take a look at the ethnicity of the doctors, nurses, health professionals and auxiliary staff.
  7. Can you give examples where the ECHR made such rulings or are you mistaking rulings by UK courts?
  8. Congratulations, you get the thread’s Godwin Gong… again.
  9. A bit of a switch there on your part. Yes the sentences where different, the guy you don’t like being locked was not put in prison for mere ‘tweets’. Refer court records.
  10. I was going to say that’s a big improvement, but you squeezed in another sullen assumption. Nevertheless, it is a step in the rational direction.
  11. A bit of whataboutary on your part. The court records are the facts, your alternative reality is not facts.
  12. I’m not sure why you have aversion to official court records.
  13. Thank you Jonny for demonstrating exactly how the politics of grievance mongering works. Your first dreamt up cause for grievance fails to materialize, so you dream up another with equally imaginative conspiracies and predictions. I’m sure we can look forward to your next rendition when this one fails to deliver on your hopes.
  14. Fetterman’s Pennsylvania seat is narrowly contested, he’s playing to the center where he knows the votes are for the mid-terms.
  15. “ I also learned that modelers don't get to keep their jobs if their results don't meet the funders' wishes, and that most jobs and promotions went not to the most accurate modelers, but the most convincing.” Are you aware of what you just told us?
  16. Well he wasn’t just posting tweets was he. * Yes by your own admission you know you were posting misinformation.
  17. Where the convicted fraudster claims to have done just that.
  18. “Monday proved to be a traumatic day for several tech stocks after the emergence of DeepSeek’s AI model sent a shudder across markets. The most notable victim was US chip giant Nvidia. Its shares fell 17%, cutting its stock market value by about $593bn (£433bn) - the biggest single-day loss in US market history.” That’s $93Billion more than Trump’s announcement and only the loss of one company. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cjr85l2e4l4t And on who’s watch?!
  19. That’s what they were saying before Sputnik.
  20. Meanwhile millions of law abiding people didn’t go on a racist driven riot fest of looting and arson. And that despite being in receipt of the same statements from police and Government. Welcome to responsibility for one’s own actions.
  21. They could try. It seems none have. Perhaps Badenoch is manufacturing outrage.
  22. The rioters were almost all tried in magistrates courts. Ricky Jones (Labour Councillor) is being tried in front of a full jury, the timing of which is determined by the court availability. Here’s an example of the trial of one of those involved in provoking the race riots taking time to be processed. So no not all were tried quickly. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/jan/06/key-architect-of-riots-after-southport-attack-jailed-for-seven-and-a-half-years
  23. They can appeal if they feel they have been denied justice. Imagine now if the Heinous killer did the same, this forum would light up with demands for Starmer to be held accountable. There is also another important point, which of course is being ignored by people who don’t like the fact the race rioters faced swift and stiff justice. The race riots were coordinated and breaking out across the nation, the Government’s messaging was very clear, join the riots and you will face justice. This was absolutely the right message to send, and it worked. Within days of rioters being convicted the riots stopped. Again, thank you to Badenoch for reminding the public of two excellent law and order results for the Government.
  24. A reminder that you have changed tack on that case, your previous self stroked grievance being your assertion that the verdict would be handed down on the same day as Trump’s inauguration. That didn’t happen so you dream up your next reason to feel aggrieved.
  25. Is ‘virtually impossible’ a risk you would be happy with? Or do you share my view that it was entirely correct to avoid even the slightest possibility of of a mistrial, especially when there was absolutely no reason to provide any statements that could give rise to that happening?
