They're told it's winter therefore it must be cold, they like the novelty of being able to wear a jacket for a reason other than protecting that white skin look so they don't get the dark peasant skin and it's actually colder than you think if you go out early morning/late night, especially on a motorbike.
Thais probably wonder why farang sweat profusely and look a hot mess at any temperature above 28c.

The cheapest packet in Australia would set you back easily 500 baht but more likely closer to 750 baht so Thailand has a long way to go lol
When Thailand has free health care and an hourly minimum wage of 400 baht maybe they'll be able to charge Australian prices. Not much of a comparison lol

This contest gets far too much coverage on this site. The rest of world has forgotten about this rubbish, even trump has sacked it off.

Seems like some activists are in need of some re-education

They've been swanning all around the world, who has been pocketing all the money they've been given to do the TV appearances etc?

That's so nice. The officials have been given half a sacred mountain whilst the ordinary people are allowed to pitch a tent for free.

Not just farang though is it? Just doing as the Thais do.

If these last few comments from the farang Thai nationalists are true about the event been so wonderful and such a success, even though some admit to not being at the event, let's hope the Thai authorities follow through and start making Thai roads safer for cyclists all year round, not just when there's lycra clad officials on the road. More cycle lanes and stopping vehicles from using the already existing cycle lanes would be a great start.

7) Carry on as is until everyone forgets about the destruction of the sacred mountain.

And this will be a paltry amount when compared to the immigration's stock of TM 30 cards that are accumulating at a rate far quicker than state agency job applications.
About 35million a year, or whatever the latest yearly tourist arrivals is. That's a lot.

I'm going to pop into 7 /11 today for a pack of chewing gum to see if this is for real

The visa application is all online but you'll still need to print off the application, make several copies of several pages of your passport, buy several odd sized photos, sign everything in blue pen only and then take everything to your nearest embassy in person.

I was in Pai last weekend, the air is toxic up there. I stayed up in the hills and I could see many, many different open fires burning simultaneously. Also this could be seen on the drive from CM. They should start thinking about finding ways to stop farmers and locals burning everything if they're actually serious about being environmentally friendly.

Will paupers be able to watch this dance? It reads like it's for the royals and hi so's only.

They've already been and left religion, culture, dance, language and food. The Chinese on the other hand, they're just about taking.

Originals are cheaper back in the UK. Even the King Power shop in whatever airport it's in in BKK sells the Leicester shirt for more than they do in the UK. Fakes I've not seen in CM surprisingly but there's a fair few in BKK

Try to get an all terrain walking stick if you plan on walking on the pavement. More often than not the pavement becomes a tree, a road, a motorbike lane, ditch and any number of things that a normal walking stick might struggle to navigate.

How does he manage to get that ripped when he eats one meal a day - containing mostly processed 7/11 food that he has to beg for each morning. Plus all the hours he dedicates to cleaning the temple, doing good for the community, studying Buddhism, shopping for the new iPad, etc

Head of anti drink drive foundation takes aim at lazy police over helmet usage

Who cares about others wearing helmets? Honestly? If people care about helmets and their life then they'll wear one, if they don't then they won't bother. If it's a parent who rides with their child on a bike and they don't provide a helmet for their dependent then they should be severely fined.
Not wearing a helmet and crashing just allows people easier passage into the next life.
