Yep, just went there a few weeks ago. Kinda neat for a single guy to spend some time there. I only saw the west side, the hills brought tears to the girls when driving.
Many areas besides Bangkok and Isaan. It's nice to live in an industrial area where so many have good jobs. Being around poor people all the time is depressing.
The house I paid for, the seller had a bank note. On the day we (buyer, seller and bank rep) meet at land office. Bank rep got paid as paperwork was signed.
2 head calls with a 7-11 stop and back on the road again. I don't take notice of a rough ride, now fighting for every inch going through Songkran traffic does get tedious.
Yep, sure a meal for 3 can cost only 200 thb, but a better place with all seafood dishes can be 500 thb ea. Sure, I could get by on less but that's not within my retirement plans.
Not even close on the cost. More like 12 kpl. Maybe 2000 thb for the 700 km run plus I made some smaller trips beforehand. I don't keep tabs, I just buy what I like. So you couldn't make a 700 km run straight through like I did. Enjoy the ride.
