me and the wife walked down by the beach and were flabbergasted to

sea people being arrested for sitting on the beach in a group, and then

they placed them (about 16) in a police truck ? they were more crowded

in the truck than they were on the beach??? This was last year and maybe they have learned but i wonder if a police man would question

their methods, i have made the mistake of asking Thai people for directions when not sure when driving, most will tell you anything rather than admit they do not know....TIT.

Most Thais could see nothing wrong with your scenario.

Nothing would be waived if a person tried to do a extension without the help of an agent unless the money was really kept in the bank. Immigration has been asking for proof that the 800k baht was in the bank 3 months after the application and then 400k baht for the rest of the year.

People have been denied extensions due to not maintaining the correct balance the previous year.

What about the income - monthly method? Say if I used an agent the last time using the agent's deposit method and now I do my self using monthly deposit method.

    Nonsense:

Full transcript: MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell interviews Joe Biden

    https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/full-transcript-msnbc-s-lawrence-o-donnell-interviews-joe-biden-n1267186

Why do you think joe is being handled so carefully. Your link doesn't load up. But, I've heard joe speak plenty and it's embarrassing. And, it has zero to do with ssttuttering.

I understand that's your opinion, but why do you have that opinion?

Any time you do something , one needs to to do a risk benefit assessment.

What would assigning blame accomplish? If it was an accident don't you think steps have been taken to  prevent such accident from happening again., would assigning  blame cause the Chinese to implement more safeguards?  On the other hand would it help deescalate the situation with hate crimes against Asians? or will it cause more?

What is there to gain that is greater than  what can be lost?

If this covid did originate in a Wuhan lab then China owes the world.  IF it was an accident from lab, how did it happen needs to be explained.

If the US did this we'd be apologizing and handing out relief to the world.

Not exactly till enough people are vaccinated we need to keep it under control. This level is ablut the max as more then this and health care cannot cope.

So we just have to be patient. Right now the risk is not too bad if healthcare cant cope its a different story.

Not everyone who gets covid needs a hospital bed. My 63 yr old buddy had it last month in the USA. Stayed home the whole time, no fever, just tired and slept all day for 2 weeks. I know different scenario as his wife had the Vaccine and he only stayed home. Don't think that would work here. I think we'll be wearing masks here for years to come. Just to blend in.

I think I spoke too soon about the cocks and the dogs. We are getting into the rainy season here in Khon Kaen , and today it came down in buckets.

Right on cue the bullfrogs came out and it sounds like ,

well I cant think of anything like it  to describe it. let me just say, compared to them . it makes the roosters and dogs sound like soothing music.

It just started a few hours ago and both me and the wife run out to see the hell  it was,

Wife recorded it on her phone , It is amazing that such small things cam make as much noise.

I have a place in Ca, USA with a pond in back. At night the frogs echoed super loud. Kind of nice.

After LOS, it is pure culture shock to see how courteous the drivers are, here.  If you are anywhere near the intersection, as a pedestrian.. they insist that you cross first with a wave.  I always return with a wave and a nod of appreciation.

Nice, but I tried the normal Thai style jaywalking in Ca and instead of car driving past me it stopped which messed up my crossing unnecessarily. A different mind set.

This would solve a major sticking point for me as I consider whether or not to follow the retirement extension route.

I understand the logic of requiring retirees to have enough money held in reserve to cover any medical emergencies, but times have changed and money has speeded up. I know that I can at least double any money within six months, so, in real terms, not having to stick 800k in a bank could make me 320,000k by the end of the year, and possibly far more.

Ultimately, I will end up spending the compounding earnings from my investments in Thailand anyway, so, everyone wins.

I presume that a lot of people get this done. Does this particular service tend to be included in the 10k agents fee that has been mentioned in this thread, or is it considered to be an additional service requiring additional payment?

For a happy ending you pay more, 13-17,000 for full service.

People without masks at a crowded beach can in fact spread the virus as it travels in the air.

...based on the below CDC report.

COVID-19 spreads mainly from person to person through respiratory droplets. Respiratory droplets travel into the air when you cough, sneeze, talk, shout, or sing. These droplets can then land in the mouths or noses of people who are near you or they may breathe these droplets in.

Masks are a simple barrier to help prevent your respiratory droplets from reaching others. Studies show that masks reduce the spray of droplets when worn over the nose and mouth.

You should wear a mask, even if you do not feel sick. This is because several studies have found that people with COVID-19 who never develop symptoms (asymptomatic) and those who are not yet showing symptoms (pre-symptomatic) can still spread the virus to other people. Wearing a mask helps protect those around you, in case you are infected but not showing symptoms.

Can the droplets land in your eyes?
