I have life insurance for the wife, it is worth 10% of what I am worth alive.
The insurance will keep her and the kids going, easily, until the smallest one is 21.
My will is 50% to my daughter overseas, and 50% to my kids here, my daughter overseas is the executor and is instructed to put the money in an account in her country until her youngest sister reaches 21, so, her sisters will be 26 and 21 when they receive the money, i.e. unless I am still around for many years to come.
That is the plan, but you never know.
Same here, my magic number for young one is 25.

Bashing a product one doesn't own doesn't mean much either. Whether based on it past failure of success or simply by country of ownership.
SAIC took over in 2010, with expanded production and new models, apparently well received. That doesn't happen if you put out a <deleted> product. 12 yrs going strong ... don't think the present owners have much to be concerned about.
Isuzu since 1916 and Toyota since 1933, I know who I'll trust.

You could simply put that in your signature, then you wouldn't have to keep on telling us, over & over again.
So, only pro Chinese built auto aficionados are allowed to post. Feel free to tell us again and again how wonderful your MG is, oh and how you leave everyone behind from a stop. Please tell that story again.

I'll never buy a LR because of price. So it's no concern of mine what anyone has to say. Much like I'll never buy a China built car but for different reasons.

Thanks for confirming that your chief criterion for evaluating a product is the country it comes from and not the company that made it. According to your way of reasoning, Land Rovers are so poorly made because they come from the UK.
My belief is Land Rovers are top quality machines. Never gave it a thought where they are born.
You can't deny China is great at duplicating a competitors product, made with inferior parts and bits and sold cheaper. It's what they do. And they do it well.

So, apparently, nationality is how automobile companies are to be judged? MG brand autos are no different in quality from Stallion, GPX, or Legend because they're manufactured by Chinese companies? Tell that to the European nations where MG's business is booming.
You tell them, I forgot Lifan 250, a chopper looking bike. The Chinese are good at copying, can't deny that. I wouldn't even buy dog food made in China.

Yea I saw that.
And the Jeep, back to being made / assembled in USA. Mostly yank parts, but surely infected with some Chinese.
That's right on topic, foreign company buys, and keeps the 'Chrysler' badge ???? Even the govt took a billion $$$ loss trying to bail them out.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler#2014–2021:_Fiat_Chrysler_Automobiles
"The US Treasury, through the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), invested $12.5 billion in Chrysler and recovered $11.2 billion when the company shares were sold in May 2011, resulting in a $1.3 billion loss. On July 21, 2011, Fiat bought the Chrysler shares held by the US Treasury.[54] The purchase made Chrysler foreign-owned again, this time as the luxury division. The Chrysler 300 was badged Lancia Thema in some European markets (with additional engine options), giving Lancia a much needed replacement for its flagship.
2014–2021: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
On January 21, 2014, Fiat bought the remaining shares of Chrysler owned by the VEBA worth $3.65 billion."
Good on you, trying to justify buying a cheap China built car.
