    fault, no. responsibility, yes.

Firstly they will try to blame the helmsman, the unlicensed people in the engine room operating or in charge of the bow thruster. Next come the licensed officers, the chief Engineer, the Chief Mate who I'm sure was part of the bridge team as well as the Captain. In the end the Captain will shoulder the responsibility. Oh the pilot will be drug through the mudd but in the end the pilot is only assisting.

At last we have a president how doesn't tell lies.  Ya gotta love that.  Sad if you don't.

Biden is right that the colder months typically bring a surge of border crossings. There was a 28% surge in apprehension at the southern border from Jan to Feb of this year. Last year the Trump administration saw a 31% surge in migrant apprehension from Jan to Feb.

It's disingenuous to claim it's seasonal, while there is truth to it many other factors are at play. Please take the time to read and become informed.

I know nothing about seamanship so laugh if you like. I know the weight of the ships anchors must be tremendous but with modern machinery is it not possible to lay out an anchor. Even onto the opposite bank and assist the tugs by winching itself off the bank?

There has to be a reason the why tugs can't do the job. Ship probably has about 1000ft of chain but the anchor windlass is made to pull up the anchor not move a ship, the motors couldn't handle it.

  4. OK so let's imagine all assault type weapons were banned. Next the gun designers would redesign hunting rifles which are also semi-auto to replace assault weapons. Next after shootings occur with hunting rifles, the next step is to outlaw all semi auto rifles probably including shotguns. Then comes handguns.

And on and on until we're (the law abiding) left with sharp sticks and the bad guys are still armed.

  5. Just to be clear, the gun used in Colorado was not an AR-15

According to a police affidavit, the suspect charged with 10 counts of homicide, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, purchased a Ruger AR-556 semiautomatic weapon, basically a shortened model of an AR-15 type rifle marketed as a pistol, six days earlier than the killings happened. It can also be unclear if that weapon was used in the capturing on Monday.

Your dislike of refugees is clear, but your understanding of what it means is limited.   Those fleeing for political reasons are most certainly genuine refugees.  That's the very definition of a refugee.   It's the definition used by the US gov't and countries that are signatories to the UN Protocols.

You apparently don't like the level of education or skills.   If you want particular skills, there are numerous visa categories that allow you to get everything from your grapes picked, to your software designed.

The number of refugees set last year by Trump was 18,000.  Only 11,814 were admitted to the US in that year.

As far as your assertion that it's not like they are fleeing natural disasters, you might want to read this:

Migrants are heading north because Central America never recovered from last year’s hurricanes

Genuine refugees would be ecstatic to claim asylum  in Mexico, why don't they? Why make the journey to the US?
