$400 million for the Presidency was even cheaper. -
Enough to promote you to the nuisance member status. Speaking of which, I wonder how many members actually have members. Do AI bots have dicks?

The atomic absorption spectrometer was invented and developed in Australia, although I must admit it was an immigrant Brit, Sir Alan Walsh, who was responsible. The black box present on all passenger aircraft was invented by the Australian scientist David Warren. I am disappointed you forgot one of our big cultural contributions, Sir Les Patterson.

I don't know why anyone would expect anything short of chaos in a second Trump presidency. COVID messed up his first presidency, , Musk and the other contributing billionaires will put his second in disarray. Welcome to government by oligarchy. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.- 155 replies

If one measures the number of medals Australia won per million population, it's ahead of any other nation. I beg to differ in terms of superiority, because some nations have different attributes. The Kenyans and Ethiopians have long been famous in events of long distance running, spanning decades. Just like Russia and the East Europeans dominated gymnastics, although that was more nurture than nature. I have always admired the Thais for their physical flexibility and family cohesion. I don't admire their driving skills. I don't think of myself as better than others, although some on this forum may disagree.

To be at the top of their profession, surgeons need to have the acronyms FRCS, FRACS. after their names. FRCS stands for Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, FRACS stands for Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. FRCS is the first qualification a surgeon gets, followed by FRACS. That's because the second qualification is tougher to obtain, and puts the surgeon in elite company. Still digging? Your arms must be getting tired. Your brain quit some time ago.

No, just amused by the assumption of superiority where there is no foundation of fact for it. The British Empire died in the Ashes of WWII. Many Brits seem to want to emigrate to Australia, although the days of the ten-pound Pom are long gone. Those that go back to England after a bout o,f whinging, must miss their regular dose of rheumatism.

Oh dear. I guess that's why we towel you up in quite a few sports. Great Britain population - 68 million Australia population - 27 million Paris Olympics 2024 : Australia 18 gold medals. Great Britain 14 gold medals. Would you like to quit while you are behind, or do you want to keep digging yourself deeper?

If you want to get rid of spiders, get a ginger cat. They will kill anything that size which is moving.

Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency

41 is not a huge number compared to the millions allegedly in America. It's a fairly tenuous point. As far as criminality goes, there is probably more among Americans. Are looters shot on the spot in America? I am surprised in a trigger-happy country, that is not happening. I assume the use of the adjective diffident with respect to minimum wages is a typo, albeit a quite amusing one.
