Do you have a criminal record, that you are using the term so often?
-
Perhaps you have never been passionate about anything, so you don't care. We all are different. IME people who are passionate about something usually achieve far more than those who are not.

I care when someone calls me a golf cheat, when I have played the game honestly for more than 60 years, winning championships fair and square. That poster is on my ignore list. As far as I am concerned, they can <deleted> themselves with the rough end of a pineapple.
-
Why not? Tell me why I should take sh!t from anybody. I bet you don't.
-
What thread would you like me to start, just to satisfy you?

I enjoy the ride on the scooter going back and forth between the village and 7/11, good roads, about 5 km each way. Safe riding, comparative to in town. i have my simple pleasures.
-
It's actually a miracle you've survived. I must have a masochistic streak.
-
Notice to all trolls I have on ignore: I occasionally peek at what you post. If it's inflammatory or a personal attack, I report it. You are wasting your time posting, because I won't respond, and regard you and your sniping attempts as lower than whale sh!t.

My Thai is quite understandable to most Thais, although it is Lanna Thai. You may be right, I can't expect good manners from everyone.
-
True. Perhaps I am too old, and come from an age where good manners were expected.
-
I might look serious, but I am not aggressive with Thais. Not smart at all.

A simple thank you would have sufficed. Happy you have posted your venom for the day?

Oh come on. The nuclear weapons were physically in Ukraine. You think the Ukrainians could not have cracked those codes? The Black Sea fleet has had to retreat from Sevastopol. Russian troops are terrorized by drones costing less than a couple of hundred dollars. To me, that says Ukrainians are quite ingenious people.

IIRC Russia signed the Budapest Memorandum in 1994, guaranteeing Ukrainian sovereignty in return for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons. If anyone is paying a price, it is Russia. * Inflation at 8.6% * A pariah state * An army that is a laughing stock. Ditto weapons. Riddled with corruption. * No foreign investment, except maybe the Chinese. Good luck with that. * Half a million dead. Human wave tactics. * Gas market to Europe - gone. Oil market severely restricted. * Primitive technological manufacturing capability. No-one knows if their nukes will even work. * A ruble no one wants, not even the Chinese. * An ageing workforce of scientists and engineers. Another 5 years of war in Ukraine, IMO Russia will be a failed state. Even if it stopped right now, it would take decades to rebuild to before 2022.

I am wrestling with the proposition Putin would be able to take out Biden from his grave.

I went to 7/11 today from the village to pick up lunch. OK, I slum it occasionally. I bought about half a dozen items, took them to the cash register. The young girl behind the counter put the double pork burger and cheese aside to be microwaved. She scanned the items, and gave me my change. I pointed out she had not scanned the burger, or charged me for it. It was if I had offended her, or caused her to lose face. No smile, no thank you after I had rectified an error which might have got her pay docked at the end of the day. I still fail sometimes to understand Thai people.

It is quite noticeable Putin's sabre-rattling with nukes has disappeared over the last 6 - 12 months. My hypothesis: Biden called Putin, and pointed out there would be no nuclear exchange with Russia. Instead, the USA had the surveillance and equipment capabilities to take out Putin in a surgical strike, with eyes on him 24/7. Maybe Biden even put proof on the table. I assume Putin, like anyone else, wants to survive.

There does seem to be a disconnect between civility in person, and civility on social media. I have just had an extremely defamatory post directed at me. I doubt the same discourtesy would occur in person.

Global Increase in Penile Cancer and Penile Amputation Cases

Reading comprehension: You referred to vax addicts as a generalization. Never needed HPV vaccine, I always used condoms. There are only four women in my entire life I have trusted for bareback sex. I'd say it's a bit ludicrous to have a HPV vaccine, then roll the dice on syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and HIV. I'm quite amazed I have survived this long. Given my travels, all the vaccines I have had pushed into my arm in 0.5 ml volumes once a year rival a pincushion. The average annual alcohol consumption in Thailand is 5.5 litres of pure ethanol. A compound which has been designated as a Class 1 carcinogen since 1989. Antivaxxers obsessed by vaccines amuse me, when that turd is sitting in their punchbowl. -
Global Increase in Penile Cancer and Penile Amputation Cases

Really. The chances of getting shingles increase with age, and peak at over 70. Most patients say the pain is 6-10, on a scale of 1-10. Smart people get vaccinated for shingles, dumb ones don't. They roll the dice. A 20% chance of getting shingles if you are over 80, 17% over 75. Do you feel lucky? -
We don't really know. IMO a p!ssing contest about who was the better serviceman is going to rebound on Vance, because it disrespects Walz's years of service and higher rank. He also has the baggage of Trump's remarks about fallen servicemen and disabled veterans. That's difficult to explain to anyone who is not in Trumpworld.

MAGA influencers say Trump is on track to lose the election
Lacessit replied to shdmn's topic in Political Soapbox
AFAIK the cannon fodder is on the Russian side, where Putin, Shoigu and Gerasimov send poorly trained and equipped troops in human waves. Estimated at half a million dead so far. Given cardboard flak jackets because Russia either can't make kevlar, or corruption took the money needed. Perhaps you care more about them than the 44 million Ukrainians Putin has marked for genocide if he wins, finishing the job Stalin started. -
MAGA influencers say Trump is on track to lose the election

No doubt the Republicans are searching desperately for mud that will stick. Problem is, they are still looking for gunpowder, while K&T already have the bullets. Such as Trump's age. Please excuse the mixed metaphor.
