I think I can embrace change when it makes sense to me, and is obviously beneficial. I took to a Kindle like a duck to water. OTOH, as I got older I have become risk-averse. That shows in my investment profile. I can put a card in a Faraday cage. That way, exposure to skimming is minimized. I don't know if phones have similar protection, and have no intention of finding out the hard way.

My condo bill for electricity is between 400 and 600 baht/month, depending on how much I use the aircon, which I set at 27 C. As other posters have suggested, the OP's bills are obviously padded by the condo.

Without the US Navy, global trade on the high seas would grind to a halt. Even the Chinese and North Koreans benefit from the shipping security provided.

I have the utmost respect for the power of a vagina.

Perhaps she is smarter than you think. -
All I can say is we have more than one village idiot.

I tap a card in Australia, for 99% of transactions. In Thailand, I use mostly cash, occasional card. I refuse to have anything to do with phones, mainly because IMO there is going to be a massive hack of the system one day. The other thing I notice with phones is how slow the transactions are at a checkout, compared to paying cash or tapping a card. I don't tip in Australia. I tip here with cash, I don't when they want a card.

I don't care, as long as they do not ask me for money. -
I have a life. It very occasionally gets interrupted by jerks.

Combining any drugs which have synergy can lead to serious side effects. I use a small dose of kratom twice a week for back pain. About six hours relief. AFAICT there are no deleterious effects.

Isn't it nice you can make remarks anonymously, so you can't be sued for defamation?

You have made far more than 673 posts. Your genius does not extend to reading what's in front of you.

Deal. You get the <deleted> out of Australia, stop making us a nuclear target, and stop asking us to buy your expensive sh!t so we can help you with the wars you regularly get embroiled in.

As an Australian, I understand if Trump returns to the White House in November, no alliance or agreement with America will be worth p!ssing on.

Should we all be lying flat these days?

As a kid, I used to go to the local tip and scavenge metals - aluminium, brass, lead. Copper was the most valuable. Bring them home, sort them into wheat bags. Scrap metal dealers paid good money. I bought my first bicycle and first set of golf clubs with the proceeds. Nowadays, what I did is impossible. The OH&S people would haul me away in handcuffs. -
I did genuinely confuse Transam with another poster, whose name I can't remember. He used to post large icons of himself singing to a guitar. IIRC he was in the same area as Trans. I can assure you I am not that subtle, as some posters will attest to.

Maybe it's all the sad icons you posted, when you were stalking me.

Given the misfortunes you have suffered in Thailand, if I can inject some humour into your day, I am only too happy to do so.

???? Don't you mean the tax of 10% on the interest earned by your savings would be miniscule? -

There are always some gems among the pig flop. GG reminds me of a dotty uncle at our family gatherings, who in his meandering sometimes came out with something worth listening to. -
Trump lost the popular vote to Hilary Clinton. He lost the same vote to Biden by 7 million votes. He lost the mid-terms. He lost two defamation cases to the tune of $88 million, one fraud case with a penalty of $360 odd million. He might as well have loser tattooed on his forehead. He still has 91 criminal indictments to answer to. He has alienated the female vote by boasting about Roe vs Wade, disrespected the military, and p!ssed off the unions with a laughably fake rally. He has used campaign funds to pay lawyers, his war chest is half that of Biden's. The big donors have pulled their donations, all he can do is grift small donors. I am curious - what hallucinogen are you taking, that makes you think he is marching towards the White House?

There's a fairly merciless dissection of the arguments Trump's lawyers will probably advance on appeal. Meidas Touch on YouTube, Michael Popok. Perhaps the most striking part of the opinion piece is the assertion Judge Engoron did everything possible in his verdict to negate any grounds for appeal. Another problem Trump has is sending in lawyers who have no experience with the NY legal system. It's like having a grade cricketer opening in a Test match, with Mitchell Johnson bowling.
