Unruly British man goes berserk on Bangkok-London flight (video)
Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Highly unlikely, unless he is (a) a heavy user (b) in the 30% of habitual addicts who become psychotic. Far more likely to be alcohol, which is well known for removing inhibitions. I agree with BZ, breath testing prior to boarding would help weed these guys out. -
There is a good old Aussie expression. " If bullsh!t was music, you'd be a brass band". Ever since I used the light simile, posters have seized on it to belabor me. The nastier ones are on my ignore list. In a health event about two months ago, I was in a Thai hospital for two days. My GF slept on the floor next to my bed for two nights, to care for me. Her family ferried food in, as the hospital food was definitely not what I am used to. As you say, one can't beat that kind of relationship. Lux perpetua luceat eis.

If you listen to his dumbest followers, their responses can become comedy gold.

In Thailand: OK to eat steak tartare?
Lacessit replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It is accepted among statisticians that a sample of a single person is fairly useless in establishing correlations of events. It's like me saying I am a two pack a day smoker, who has never had COPD, emphysema, or lung cancer, therefore smoking is not dangerous. The ancient Greeks did note Hubris is invariably followed by Nemesis. -

If any protein here is not cooked, I don't eat it. -
It is always disappointing when you trust someone, and they repay your trust with deceit. If he needed 25,000 for a visa, odds are pretty good he will need it again when it comes to extension time. There's only one friend here I trust with money when he is a bit short on cash, and he has always paid me back.

Are there signs of corrosion around the roof screws/ washers? Sometimes washers have a carbon content, which can create an electrolytic cell. How heavily do you chlorinate your pool? Do you get any ceiling condensation? Is the roof material factory painted, or painted after installation? IMO the most probable cause would be the tree damage, allowing water access.

You can find 10,000 foreigners in Thailand, each with more than 91 indictments against them? You really must have snored your way through classes in statistics and probability. Presumably you aced the drama classes.

Flight disrupted by vibrating luggage reveals sex toy (video)
Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Similar joke with a woman shopping online in an adult store. Woman: "I want to buy a dildo" Staff: " Certainly madam, this is our display case" Woman: " I'll take the red one on the wall" Staff: " Madam, that's our fire extinguisher" -

Didn't you know a tooth brush can do double duty? You must lead a sheltered life. -
In latest news, Trump has decided to go after Taylor Swift with his usual combination of denigration and insults. In response, she has called him a stinking @sshole. I think she means it literally. There goes the youth vote.

Appointing an oil industry executive to be Secretary of the Environment demonstrated how much Trump is committed to it.

IIRC, the special counsel appointed to investigate Biden's handling of classified documents stated Biden co-operated fully with his inquiry. OTOH, Trump lied and obstructed, refused to return them, showed top secret documents to Mar-a-Lago visitors. It's why Trump is in the dock now, and Biden is not. You think Trump is fit to serve, with 91 indictments and two convictions already? That's as crazy as a bedbug. It's not a great choice. However, I would take Biden over a hate-spewing felon every day.

IIRC you accused me of TDS. Seems there is BDS as well.

German tourist’s night out in Pattaya turns into nightmare
Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
You don't argue over parking spaces with Thais. In Thailand, it's prudent to learn which battles to pick, and when to walk away.- 136 replies

I associate with other expats via sport. As for sitting in bars or joining expat clubs to listen to others bitch about the world - hell no. I can do that here.

His wounds are self-inflicted, nothing to do with the Dems, everything to do with his criminality and the American justice system. His supporters swallow his lies, they are losers, just like him. $83 million E Jean Carroll, anywhere between $300 and $500 million for the NY fraud. $55 million gone on lawyers who can't defend him, because he won't keep his mouth shut. Hope away. As Bill Barr ( former ally ) said, he's toast.
-
Which people is Biden trying to jail? AFAIK the criminal justice system is separated from the executive branch of government. As usual, your posts are long on opinion, short on facts.

I thought the OP's alter ego, bignok, had been all over Thailand. Perhaps this is what lawyers call a fishing expedition. I have probably driven through Kaphaeng Pet without even realizing it. The others, yes.

There are ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians. Staff in stores are opticians. Opticians are technicians who fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision-correcting devices. Optometrists examine, diagnose, and treat patients' eyes. Ophthalmologists are eye doctors who perform medical and surgical treatments for eye conditions.

How do you have wars and inflation when the world is in the middle of a pandemic? One of your more egregiously dumb posts.

IMO it is entirely logical to fear a person who is on record saying he wants to be a dictator for a day, so he can take revenge on anyone who has opposed him. I don't think there is any doubt, from his posts and actions, that Trump is vindictive.

Coolant mixing with oil - how big an issue usually?
Lacessit replied to mfinasi's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Coolant mixing with oil is a train wreck already. Coolant has a lot of ethylene or propylene glycol in it, apart from water. They are not lubricants, although they may act to emulsify oil. The cylinders will score, from ineffective lubrication and carbonization. It's engine seizure waiting to happen. The reverse is also true, oil in coolant is attacking all the seals and polymers in the water pump and radiator train. IMO either leave it in the garage until you can afford to fix it, or sell it. -
You are probably correct on the first opinion, Trump will probably just give Putin, Xi and Kim what they want. IMO America is in a civil war already, although there is nothing civil about it.
