There are still plenty of pickups on the roads in Thailand, as distinct from cars. EV's growth can't remain the same because there simply are not enough raw materials to grow the EV percentage to 90%. It's about 30% at best. IMO the first manufacturer that comes up with a hybrid pickup is going to do very well.

What I want to see is actual numbers of cars sold in Thailand each year since 2018. Obviously, COVID would have impacted sales. The big question is where the market is now in numbers, and <deleted> the percentages.

ICE's evolve just as EV's do. Remember the first Nissan Almeras, that could not pull the skin off a rice pudding? Addition of a turbo improved them considerably. In my world, I have not sold something until I have got the money in my hot little hands. I have a real problem with EV's starting at 429k THB. BYD and MG are established brands. The el cheapos are produced by companies I have never heard of, no way of knowing whether such companies will even be around in the long term. No desire to be a lab rat. As you have already posted you are well-heeled enough to afford 5 EV's in a row, perhaps you could purchase one of these bargains, and report back. Oh, the photos I saw were all fakes. Please. Any way you slice it, an EV that is deriving its' electrons from a fossil fueled power station is no better than any ICE on the road. It only gets to be virtuous when the electrons come from renewables. As electricity from fossil fuels is still two-thirds of all power generation, there is still a long way to go.

Russia and China are in a demographic crisis. Immigration grows the population, and the economy. With a declining population, the young workers can't fund the pension system. The Australian population has increased by about three million over the last ten years. That's a increase of 1.25% per year, via natural increase and immigration. The 1,825,000 extra would be an increase of 0.55%, on top of the 1 million already admitted. Natural increase in the US has declined sharply over the past 4 years. There's nothing wrong with controlled immigration, it grows a country. Trump is a chaos agent, he did not want that. Which is just another demonstration of his hypocrisy, as he was employing illegal immigrants.
