  1. It's a bit sad you gave up golf on the strength of one bad round. It's good exercise in fresh air, suitable for someone my age. Have you noticed most professional golfers live into a ripe old age? I would be very happy to cark it on a golf course.
  2. I would say halfway between the two. IMO my best round ever was a one over par 73 around the Ocean Course of the National Golf Club in Australia. The course no longer exists. The members voted to have it redesigned after hundreds of complaints it was too hard.
  3. 5 under, par 70.
  4. I have always viewed a bad round as a learning experience. Winners don't give up - on anything.
  5. I used to have about 3000 books, hardcover and paperbacks, in my home library. I don't even use my Kindle now, simply read books on my smartphone. Unfortunately, the world has changed. Hatred and grievance are spread on various forms of social media daily. Frequently, the tail is wagging the dog.
  6. They do not have internet shops in Japan? If for some reason I need to print something, either that, or I take a thumb drive to my condo office, where they can print in B&W or color. 5 baht per page. I am confident you could find the requisite US cartridge on Amazon.
  7. IMO the OP should move back to Thailand from Japan, thereby improving the average IQ of both countries simultaneously.
  8. As you say, it is not mandatory to die in a hospital bed. It's just one of the scenarios. You have presumably not seen a bed in a Thai public hospital. Sharing one is quite impractical.
  9. You think I care? You are as significant to me as a dog turd on the sidewalk. Just something to step over or around.
  10. The oozlum bird has responded. You are so far up yourself it's surprising you are still here.
  11. LOL, you won't drink expensive electrolytes, but you'll ingest protein powders in preference to natural stuff?
  12. Exercise raises pulse rate. Regular exercise reduces blood pressure.
  13. What I feel would be irrelevant. What a breathalyzer says would not.
  14. Darwin will sort them out. I don't care, as long as they don't take me with them.
  15. Subjective measurement.
  16. Not interested in acquiring a melanoma.
  17. You have an interval level measurement of the increased energy you are getting? What meter did you use?
  18. The three types of engine oil are mineral oil with EP additives, half synthetic, and full synthetic. The mineral oil is the least expensive, full synthetic most expensive. Mineral oil/ EP should be good for up to 10,000 km. Full synthetic, 20 - 30,000 km. My elderly Vios gets a 50% synthetic which is changed out every 5000 km. My mechanic swears the car will outlast me, and he is probably right.
  19. I doubt it. I normally walk 4 -5 km on the golf course, take a cart for the other 9. Back in the day, I would play a 72 hole tournament over a weekend. If you are trying to prove your father is fitter than me, be my guest. It's not as if I care. For all you know, his intake of protein powder is simply a placebo effect.
  20. My BP is normal, my pulse is usually mid fifties. I have been told by a physio I am in the top 10% of my age bracket in terms of physical fitness. Maybe your father is fitter than me, that does not mean much. Blood pathology is a more scientific indicator. I evolved my diet independently - no processed foods, as much meat, eggs, fish, cheeses and yoghurt as I want, low carb high fibre vegetables. Limited sugar intake, no alcohol. It works for me, and I don't want or need artificial powders with BS advertising.
  21. IMO he is poisoning himself with excessive protein. Check his eGFR. Sorry, I forgot. That's something doctors do, and you are so much more qualified.
  22. I eat lashings of cheese. That is counter-balanced with plenty of low carb, high fibre vegetables. Bamboo is great stuff. So is celery. https://intermountainhealthcare.org/blogs/are-protein-shakes-healthy The amount of mercury in fish depends on their position in the food chain. shark yes, sardines no. It's called bio-accumulation. Let me suggest just because your diet is tolerated by a 40 - something, it does not necessarily mean an 80 yo will cope similarly. We all are different.
  23. Sunday is the usual day for lunching or having dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, and slacking off a bit on my exercise regime. I don't go shopping or to any tourist spots on Sunday, too many people.
