Maybe you have not noticed aircraft carriers are BIG. They usually store enough food and fuel to last for 3-6 months at sea.
-
Rambling, no. Old, yes. Fool - I don't care what your opinion is.
-
They'd be sitting ducks for any aircraft, coming from an aircraft carrier.
-
It's true China has 12 nuclear-powered submarines. However, these cannot project power the way an aircraft carrier can. China has three conventional aircraft carriers, dependent on refuelling at friendly ports. The USA has 11 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, which do not need refuelling for years. If you have information which contradicts what I am posting, please post it.

From what i have seen of your posts, more like 50-60 years younger.

I take it you are included in that generalisation.

Please tell me how China can project power as far as Greenland, when the Chinese Navy can't even go more than 1000 km from the Chinese coast.

I don't know if you were asleep in economics class, or if you even made it that far. The proposition cutting taxes and imposing tariffs are NOT inflationary, is as absurd as any claim you don't attack the messenger. Now get back to worshipping at the altar of the orange Jesus. You do know why Trump is orange, right? It's not makeup, it's bilirubin backing up.

The Neo-Imperialist was Serious About Stealing Greenland
Lacessit replied to Walker88's topic in Political Soapbox
How do I know what Putin wants? That's easy, because he has stated repeatedly the fall of the Soviet Union was the worst thing to happen to Russia. The Russian leadership is obsessed with vulnerability to attack. When the Soviet Union was at its peak, the closest invasion route to Moscow was the Fulda Gap in West Germany. Now there are ten invasion routes. One was added by Putin himself, when Finland joined NATO, contributing another 1500 km of border. Oops. There seems to be a competition between Russia and the USA as to who can be the most paranoid. -
I thought they had gravlax. Definitely an acquired taste, like raw herring and chopped onion.
-
Yes I do, because I can't see any of his campaign promises resulting in a reduction in living costs. His immigration and tariff policies, if implemented, will actually add to them. Putin invaded Ukraine because he wanted the resources of the Donbas, the most productive agricultural soil on the planet. IMO Trump is taking aim at Greenland's untapped resources, which include rare earths, iron ore, zinc, lead, gold and diamonds.

Anything processed. Anything with sugar added. White rice, white bread. My philosophy is if it grows below ground, it's bad for you. If it grows above ground, it's good. -
The people in Greenland may not relish being part of the stellar American health system. Trump is not even offering statehood, although he may offer a wad of cash. It's a classic political ploy, foreign adventures to distract from domestic issues. Margaret Thatcher used it to perfection in the Falklands war. Trump has produced a flurry of Executive Orders, which are going to have any positive effect on inflation and living costs?

History shows foreign companies trying to operate in the USA go back to their own country with their tails between their legs, That's happened to a major company I used to work for. I can't remember who came up with the aphorism when you shake hands with an American on a business deal, you count your fingers afterwards. How many contractors worked for Trump on his properties, and regretted it bitterly afterwards? Some of the cases are still winding their way through the courts.

Agree. IMO the only thing the private hospitals have going for them is faster service, and possibly privacy IF paid for. A recent bout of pneumonia in the Chiang Rai government hospital was managed very professionally, I doubt a private hospital would have done better. 7000 baht. It also was a lot better than I could expect from a public hospital in Australia.

You implied I was not educated. Respect me, I respect you. Don't, and I don't. Is that too hard for you to understand? -

ChatGPT agrees that more COVID vaccination --> more cases
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Oh wow, a statistical sample of two kids in a population of millions proves your case beyond doubt. The virologists and epidemiologists should clean out their offices, you've made them all redundant. -

So the fact you and your friends all drink like fishes and eat loads of processed foods has nothing to do with the bowel cancer, it's all on the vaccine. -
That's probably because you lack the ability to comprehend it.

True enough, I have no desire to move in the realm of HiSo's. -
I remember one of the kids in my street bought a Buick Straight Eight. 3 times around the block emptied the fuel tank, fuel economy obviously was not a consideration. Is the term "petrolhead" used in the USA?
-
The improvements in the FJ were mainly styling, the engine got a very modest power boost from 45 KW to 48 KW

I have found over the years Thais love a joke, even bad ones, in their language. IME it's also useful to learn Thai slang for various body parts and functions.
