With no domestic flights and no buses, how do they expect that "sandbox" tourists continue their travel to Thailand? Many of them went to Phuket as a first step before continuing travel to Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin or wherever
indeed my hotel in phuket asked me to which province i am going to continue from here, because they need to report it to immigration.
i asked them to which province am i allowed to continue.
even the buses within phuket stopped operating.
what a shame. after all the hastle and paying 8000 baht for PCR tests, all we can do is walk around the hotel.

i saw on the news yesterday that europe (theEU) will not allow anymore visitors from thailand.
Not sure about the details.
in this case, airlines will start cancell flights, if because of the new rules and if because there are
no passengers.
thailand changed from green country, one of the few that were allowed into EU, to red country, level 3.

first, thanks for letting us know. it is important to learn about banking problems.
i did dispute few payments in the past in my hong kong bank. their service was very good,
efficient and clear. only had to fill one form to explain my case. refunds came aventually
and they were even kind enough to reverse exchange differences.
iallways wondered how it would be done in thailand and your post confirm the worst.
it is not your duty to go to the police. the bank should do it and the bank should
refund your money after contacting the suspicious company.
what you had to do first, was to call that company and ask them who the hell are they and
why did they charge your card and how they got your details,

well let me tell you a little secret. thailand allready has more than 40K cases daily.
we do not know about it because testing is not being done widely as it should be.
today i was looking for a paid test so i can fly from phuket.
cheapest price i found was 3000 baht.
that is A LOT !!!
in other EU countries price is 20-30 EURO oR FREE!!!

My plan was to continue from phuket to bangkok after finishing my 14 days sandbox, but now that all
flights and buses to bangkok are cancelled for whp o knows how long, i am considering applying for
the non-O extention in phuket immigration.
i know that it means that i will have to stay in phuket for 2-3 months, in order to apply
for the one year extention(after the three months)
Assuming that i meet the financial requirements, can someone advice me if:
1. Is it possible at all to change from visa exempt sandboxer to non-O retirement visa?
2. will they accept as my address the hotel (SHA+) where i am staying now, or will they want
to see a condo address?
3. Are they strict here with the non-O retirment visas here in phuket, or will they be more flexible in this challenging times?

The US? 605,000 deaths and some shops open, hardly a good result.
U.S. population is 5 times bigger than thailand. so it is like having 120000 deaths in thailand.
question now, how did thailand made it so safe, when its health system is much
worse than the U.S.? and when the pandemic started in china?
the answer is one of the too: 1. thai numbers lie 2. u.s. numbers lie

I think that this is what will force Thailand eventually to open fully without the hoops. Nobody having any money to pay tax!
indeed this is how it goes ! that is happaned also in the UK and US and BRAZIL and MEXICO.
It is simply impossible to keep everything closed just to avoid infections.
so you control the virus but destroy many peoples lives. Thai government will
realise it aventually.

this reminds me to ask, how can i get a non criminal record certificate in phuket, while on tourist / exempt visa?
my passport was issued in bangkok few years ago, that is why i need it, allthough i did not reside in thailand recently

acctually it is pretty scary. i just came to phuket few days ago and am shocked to see how closed and empty is everything. half the shops are closed, seems like forever, and the few ones that are open are empty. allmost no people nor cars in the streets. not because of a curfew but because there are no customers.
sometimes when i walk in the street i get aggresive reactions. i looked at people sitting in one shop and they shouted at me in anger. other time i asked a saleswoman something, but did not buy it. she started shouting at me that she is working here all day and why don;t i buy.
i can understand how stressed they must be.
the beaches are so empty that it is scary to sit there all alone. i guess that is why they keep
on being empty.
i wonder why the government tried so hard to bring visitors here when they knew
they gonna lockdown the country soon. seriously, what were they thinking?
