However there is nothing to worry about if it is your own legal money on which tax was already paid.
there is a lot to worry about. declaration does not mean the money was taxed or came from
legal sources and they might come back to you for questioning.
soon cash will not be used anymore and governments do not like to see people carry cash

What do they do if the limit is say $10K USD and you declare $25-30k?
they might ask you why you carry so much cash with you, and ask you for receipts.
but generally it is no problem, you only need to declare it.
you can consider to use your ATM for withdrawls of your money from bangkok bank
while in spain. the exchange rate will not be bad and you only have to worry about
ATM cimision. sometimes there is no comission at all - not in thailand and not in spain - this way you can withdraw your money when you need it. bangkok bank does not charge
commisions for keeping the account, so why not to use it and use the account as a vault.
just make sure to ask them for the master card ATM card. the UNION one does not work so well.

i checked on line. average cost for covid test in phuket is 2000 baht. so add 6000 baht to the cost. and if the test comes out positive, even by mistake - you r fckd.

if you look at buying real estate in thailand from merely ROI point of view - return on investment, than the right time to buy is NEVER.
the average return on property in the past 20 years, in USD, is around 3-4%.
if you add your savings on rent, it is another 3-4%.
so you better buy an investment portfolio that yields around 10% , and keep on renting.
this way you will not only get higher returns, but also will save on headechs and worries
like losing your visa or denied entry at the airport.
you can even buy a mutual fund that invests in thailand, they earned 11-12% annualy in the past 25 years.

The problem is that people also dying from poverty, depression and even starvation when they cannot go to work. this is what mexico figured out in the begining of the pandemic, hence never closed corders and never imposed any lockdown. the result is indeed some deaths, but the economy was saved, and economy equals life.
the key point here is vaccines. if the doctor has respect for the vaccines, he must also respect the vaccines from other countries. what he is saying actually is that vaccined tourists cannot enter, because thailand is not vaccinated yet. but if the vaccines work, than no need to worry from vaccinated tourists, and if the vaccines do not work, than why to vaccine thailand at all?

good to hear that the police do follow on cold cases.
a friend of mine told me that he was robbed, few years ago, near the bangkok airport, when
he returned from a flight and took a taxi. the taxi suddenly took a turn to a dark alley, another man got inside , and they took all his belonging under threats of knives.
i did not ask him if he went to the police because it was abvious the police will not help.
maybe now i should ask.

Stop all the nonsense ideas or dreams and just open up completely you got vaccinated " Come on in " no C.O.E. no insurance, no quarantine.
indeed this is the right thing to do.
either that the vaccines are working, or that they are not working.
thailand has no respect for the sceince behind the vaccines.
typical arrogance and ignorance.

I did not book any flight but i had plans to come 1 july.
acctually i canceled my bangkok ASQ entrance plan and waited for the phuket plan.
but than i cancelled the phuket plan too, after i heard that the plan is called SANDBOX.
that was it.
i am sure that this name was chosen with intention to humiliate us the AI farang, and
there is so much for what i can take.
i am also looking now at panama for my next holiday and also residency plans.
in panama anyone can come, if you forget your PCR-PT T test you can do it at the
airport of panama for 50 USD, and if you are found positive you will have to get into
quarantine in a hotel paid by the panama government, yes you heard right.
panama will pay for your quarantine !!
this only proves to you how the thai government treats tourists...

I recently saw a post here asking if the 800K for retirement NON-O visa must be in THB account
or can they be in USD (foreign currency in thai bank account).
The answer was not definite yes. I allways thought it is obvious the money can be in THB and USD account
(of the same thai bank) , in any cOmbination, as long as the total value is 800K THB.
Some adviced to ask the IO.
so here i want to ask again - must the 800K be in THAI BAHT account, or can they be also in USD account of
the same bank?

A COVID-19 health insurance policy with a minimum coverage of US$100,000
Source: https://www.tatnews.org/2021/06/initial-information-phuket-sandbox/
Thankfully you don't get to choose what others post and if you write rubbish like "a tourist is just a tourists. he will not budder too much for a holiday" (sic) you should not be surprised if you get a response.
tHanks for your advice and link.
again i feel stupid...what is the point in the phuket openning if i still must have the 100K insurance? and 14 days booking in advance?
this was my main worry as i did not want to pay so much in advance for an uncertain
travel...so the only advantage of this phuket plan is that i can go out of my hotel....and still
will need to do more PCT tests on my expense, which is not so cheap...
RT-PCR test.
Every hospital in Phuket can provide an RT-PCR test;
The c
COVID-19 testing is at the travellers’ own expense. -

Insurance is required in the draft proposal presented, and even tourists travel with insurance if they have any sense.
do you have a link? i did not see a requirement for insurance, and even if so, must it be
the 100K insurance from thai company?
and about the sense for having insurance - do not come here to educate us.
we only care about the requirements.

no it is not required. otherwise why would tourists come?
a tourist is just a tourists. he will not budder too much for a holiday.
