Before these current symptoms I was attempting to loose weight and exerciser, but some how now I have found out that suffering from Sleep Apnea can have serious side effects and could be life threatening , at 70 years old my enthusiasm for loosing weight and exercising has suddenly hit rock bottom. ☹️

My dad had sleep apnea for decades. It didnt cause any issues other than maybe the occasional startled wake up in the night although he did have heart conditions. There are things that you can do to manage sleep apnea though and its only a risk factor.

You can not suffocate since your body will wake you up.

I suggest not Googling anything to do with medical conditions because Dr Google will have you thinking all sorts of untrue things with your anxiety on level 10.

Instead follow your doctors advice and try to relax. Stress is another risk facor that is likely worse than sleep apnea in my personal opinion.

Millions and millions of people have sleep apnea, its only one risk factor for general health. If you lead a healthy lifestyle you can offset certain risk factors.

best of luck with it Tom.

PS  -by the way if motivation is lacking try a steady brisk 20 minute daily walk for a bit of excersize maybe?

  2. The bus needed to use the left hand lane but should have been extra cautious in doing so, he should not have started the U turn maneuver until it was completely safe to do so and maybe ever better to chose another place to turn.

However at the same time the white pick up may have been speeding or not.

The road is also badly designed with that U turn on a fast moving carriageway.

Who is to blame, most likely everyone!

  3. I signed up to the TM30 mobile app and I completed the application by uploading photos of documents and within about 1 week after that I received an email message in my spam mail folder to say my account was confirmed but I must now wait for a username and password to be sent to me. I had actually deleted the app thinking it wasn't working but I thought oh great it is working and so I need to download the app again.

A little clunky and late but so far, so good..

..that was 2 weeks ago though and I'm due to exit Thailand very soon.

When do I get the username and password?

  4. I think the global economy is teetering on the edge, if the larger economies go into recession so will Thailand's much smaller economy and as I understand there is a lot of personal debt floating about (credit card, car and home loans) therefore if certain events happen it could get ugly for many.

Of course Thais and Thailand will be OK, but the growth spurt may falter for a while.

Lifelong accepted attitudes and actions need to be changed if this is to happen. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on how this change be approached and then implemented.

    > well I’m not a politician or police man but I do see danger every time I drive my vehicle which is why I mention the problem. How about starting by using the traffic cameras to capture and fine the riders who drive dangerously and undertake illegally.

How long do you think it will take for this change to become ingrained in society?

I have no idea how long it would take, why do you ask?

  6. I didn't want to start a new thread since this one is recent so I will add to it hoping someone scan help?

I have a few pages remaining in my passport and I'm due to go out of Thailand shortly and return on a re-entry permit for my Non O extension of stay.

If I obtain a new passport whilst in my home country the passport office will cut the corners off my old one making it obsolete and officially I will no longer be able to travel on this passport. However my extension of stay and re-entry permit will be in the old cancelled passport.

Is it really OK to simply carry both passports through border inspection at Suvarnabhumi and then transfer the extension stamp at immigration after im back in BKK?

It sounds a bit dicey?
