We leave our screened windows open in every room, including bedroom, 24 hours a day

I leave all screened windows in the living areas open 24/7, also when house is unoccupied.

I'm thinking of changing out the brown windows to upvc but am hesitating due to poor security window screens.

I won't fit the ugly bars to the upvc if I install

Why would I carry a phone if i'm not carrying passport or ID. Wouldn't know where to put it.....

I put my phone, insurance card and a key in this pouch which I clip to my waist

Cheap from lazada, about 20 Baht each. I bought 3 and got free delivery.

    Its waterproof as well.

I carry my Canadian drivers license, and a color photo copy of my current Passport with the Thai visa page also

photo copied. Only had to show my license one, and i asked if the officer wanted to see my passport, and they

did not even want to see it. I had an international drivers license as well and when the police seen both it and my Canadian license, they

were more than happy to let me get on my way.

Thankfully I have found that most of the police in Hua Hin are very polite.  I always enjoy a large part of my vacation time

in the Hua Hin area, and ride a rental motorcycle around the area.

    Geezer

North has waterfalls, rivers, caves, great views. The beaches are nice but how often do you go?? More for holidays

I lived in Phetchabun for a year, lots of caves, rivers, waterfalls etc but it's static. Living near the coast also offers the hinterland to venture.
Beaches are dynamic, always changing, never the same. I much prefer the coastline to the country.
Thailand has been my home for 20 years, been to many places, we are so lucky, Thailand has so much to see and do.
I'm still in my 50's, maybe when I slow down I'll move to the country side.
    To each their own

    1km to Jomtien beach

Always lived close to the beach

Not as good as the ozzie beaches but better than nothing

Love the beach, ride past everyday, its soothing

    It's great to be alive

My wife checked a price for a product on Lazada. 40 Baht. I checked the price for the same product on my iPad. 59 Baht. Then I checked the price for the same product on my phone. 75 Baht.

You say the same product........ , nothing unusual to have same product with different pricing. Its called marketing.

Now, if it was the same product from the same vendor this would be something worth noting.

I chose to rent a detached house

Can't wait for your next post.

I've been living in a detached house in a gated village for the last 20 years.

Detached houses come with a whole lot of noisy issues, you're in Thailand, good luck mate.

As I said previously, I called the bank and they required that I file a police report, though admitted the police wouldn't be interested and certainly wouldn't take any action.

As I also said, the police suggested that the bank insist on a police report with the expectation that many people wouldn't bother, I don't know if that's the case or it's because those who were trying to con the bank would be less inclined to file a report.

Yes, you did say that but was it necessary.

I had an issue with Kasikorn, I filled out a report with customer service, after a few weeks my money was fully refunded. No police report

I reckon your bank has given you the wrong information.

Its always a good idea to go into your branch personally, these telephone helpline people are useless.
