Report Police Clamp Down on Prostitution to Protect Pattaya’s Image
SAFETY FIRST replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Keep reading my comments below my initial comment mate, I've explained it clearly. -
Looking at the video again, the rider avoids a collision but she has locked up her front wheel, causing her to fall. Just because you have been issued a licence to ride doesn't mean you are competent to manage the many daily challenges.

I said above agree, if the girl has a supporting boyfriend/husband, or from a well off family who can help her. Calculate her expenses mate, you'll be in for a shock and don't forget to add the petty girl needs, things you never purchase like hygiene items, clothing, deodorant, sanitary pads, monthly internet........ 12k baht is nowhere near enough money I've been there, lived with these girls, their maintenance costs are much greater to that of an old, angry man -

Do the maths, add up her expenses and see how far a job at 7eleven, Big C, lotus etc paying 12k baht a month goes. I agree, if the girl has a supporting boyfriend/husband, or from a well off family who can help her, she really does not have an option I've had a couple of girlfriends in the past who I have supported, young mothers, working for the minimum wage. They came from very poor families, barely able to provide food on the dinner table, they live as far as 100km from a city, it's expensive to relocate, renting an apartment, utilities, sending money to her mother for baby food and nappies, clothing etc adds up quickly Please, once you have completed her budget, let's talk again. -

Omg, another ignorant comment, you have no bloody idea. The mother struggles to keep her child without income she must leave her child with a guardian, most times her mother. The girl must relocate, go work and live in the city, the minimum wage of around 12000 month is not enough to pay for her apartment, pay a guardian, food, clothing, electricity, etc, now she finds herself working in the sex industry.- 191 replies

It's ignorant comments like this that harm Thailand. Nothing to do with culture, it's political. I'd say most of the prostitutes are working in the sex industry for survival. In the west the government would provide social security and welfare payments (thousands of dollars after the birth) for these young mothers, government would garnish the fathers wages, the woman may be on maternity leave, she has income but sadly in Thailand these very POOR young woman (girls) have no money to support herself and her baby. Most times the father has abandoned her, these girls have no one to turn to for support, sadly they make wrong decisions in life. Again, these girls/young mothers, Thailand has failed these young people, at times they have no option but to work in the sex industry. Shame on Thailand for not providing for these young mothers.- 191 replies

How do you feel about Thailand being clearly far-right?
SAFETY FIRST replied to JoseThailand's topic in General Topics
NAILED IT. Far right is a bit extreme, mildly right I'd say. Bring back corporal punishment. Love Thailand, hate the Woke Australia I'm from and the Albanese government. -

The worst thing I see on Thai roads
SAFETY FIRST replied to NorthernRyland's topic in General Topics
This was happening before you arrived, it's a good system It works if the motorbike is paying attention. The motorbike sees the oncoming car and pulls over to the left. It's not just on busy roads, soi Buakhou, baht buses are always stopped, only way for traffic to flow is overtake, I'm always pulling over for oncoming vehicles. -
