  1. We’re near Kumphawapi up in the NE and I go to the local AIS shop

they have all different kinds of plans, I don’t use the phone for calls

unles I really have to mostly email and internet,

Been four years it’s prepaid go in and a lady that seems like a manager knows what I want and when topping up gives me the

best plan. Current plan is 3 months data 550 baht.

Works great go there once a Quarter. Can also use as phone which you’d top up separately and can do so at many small stores.

    Enjoy your stay

  2. Read this can’t say if it’s accurate or not.

All conscripts are in the grade of Private / Seaman / Aircraftman (OR-1) for the entire length of service, regardless of educational qualification. There are wage increases after completion of basic training and with time-in-grade. Although it is alleged that more than half of conscripts end up as servants[20] to senior officers or clerks in military cooperative shops,[21][22] most conscripts regardless of their volunteer status and educational background are placed in the rates or occupational specialty according to the need for their branch of service.

  3. On 11/29/2019 at 2:10 PM, webfact said:

Thai media Prachachat posted a report about the growing problem of tourists in Thailand and other parts of Asia leaving without paying their hospital bills.

One major hospital director in Phuket has even said 50% of tourists leave Thailand without paying up.

Prachachat - Was this information verified? If so what was the method. Percentage of Thai Nationals that didn’t pay bill? Keeping

in mind most Thai have government? Coverage.

  4. On behave of my British friend. Health insurance acceptability can only come from Thai insurance company.

He as many have Insurance that far exceeds the requirements for visa renewal although not accepted because it’s from an Insurance

    company not in Thailand.

in this particular case the Thai Insurance cost 75,000 a year. All

together health check, fees etc. In excess of 100,000.

Your discussing with Embassy will be appreciated. Hopefully you’ll

Visit the US Embassy soon and discuss the same,

    Best Regards and Thank You

  5. IMO having spent many years in China they like to brag about

where they’ve traveled aboard instead of the same place over

    and over add different destinations.

The easiest places for visas early on was HK,Thailand and Singapore were on the list. Travel agents handled getting

group tours.... if you’re wondering I went on the tour once

Because of family members it sucked.

One of the gals in Shanghai office went to Japan I asked curious

why Japan.... she said so her son could see it... he’s 3 years old..

  6. The bars on windows are secure enough to detour the average crook. But you must make sure that you can get out if needed,

in other words don’t weld them shut.

Many people have died because they couldn’t get put during a fire.

The saddest stoty I read in Los Angeles the mother and father got out the front door and they went to the toddlers window to get them out .... they couldn’t the bars off and it was a fatality...

  7. It does happen...  he live just outside a small village, At that time a person came around with the bill you paid them all done. She came to the house I didn’t have cash on me and no one else was home and I don’t speak Thai,

tried to explain come back tomorrow. She didn’t leave the bill so I thought ok she come back and collect the money, The power was out all day .,.. I asked what’s wrong with the power? Don’t know. A

electrician guy came by and told us the box was gone.

No notice nothing... the pole is just to the right of our fence, called and it would be 3 days before they come back out, the electrician

talked to our neighbor and they agree for us to pay 100 baht a day

until I was hooked, the electrician did the hook up.

Now they put a small box next to the gate and the bill is put there...

ues its it’s very strange they could’ve came knocked on Ruth’s door

    and we pay...
