website working now.
Quickly!! Go!!!!
Confirmation it is 3 X 5000 where please?
And the fact such an important site is finally up for 5 minutes right now, but seemingly likely to crash again soon reminds me of a wonderful English saying, someone can translate for you.
"One Swallow, a summer does not make."
You can only make so many excuses for pathetic performances, before you are revealed for being pathetic.

Given the incubation period, it is the numbers about a week from now that are going to be all important. The 100 or so a day being picked up now will probably lead to an exponential rise of hundreds or thousands daily, at which point we will be in serious trouble.

And the people who have left Bangkok to go home are responsible enough to self quarantine themselves are they? I will believe that they will all get a 20,000 fine, when they go out having fun, rather than 500 and a wai, when I see it.

They said there were lots of tourists on the beach
I suspect that a great deal of those present at the beach were more likely to be freelancers rather than tourists.

I think there are more flip flops by the authorities than can be found on the feet of the population.

If I got infected at, and died after watching my team win something major, I would consider it fair enough.
Would be concerned if any of our players ever came within spitting distance of any other player on the park mind.
Corona virus is losing on goal difference by a couple of tens of thousands annually.

I suspect you haven't been keeping up with the news. Our beloved and revered health minister has told Thailand (and the world, the idiot), that us foreigners are a dirty bunch of unhygienic scum. All Thais know we are so rich we use the already rusty brown 10 Pound notes as bog roll of course. Because the damn things are plastic now though, a quick rinse and shake off the drips and Voila, our money must be treated as suspicious and designed to infect. Thai money of course is generally paper and hence used to clean things up far less, and is unlikely to be reusable, hence not a problem. To very small minds anyway.

now they want 20k for this and 30k for that and 20k again for some other BS.
I would tell them to "go forth and multiply", without using that many words of course.
Tell them if there are any fees that absolutely have to be paid, they can do so from their own pockets to make up for their total incompetence.
They are not going to be able to come after you, so give them nothing.
Well, you can give them some additional abuse into the bargain if you so wish.

I wonder if TAT are still trying to stick to their suggestion that tourists will only drop by 6 million in the year?

WOW! Maybe Thailand truly is changing. This sort of thing used to be standard business operations. I recall a few years back a report by the UN calling the RTP the most organised criminal gang on the planet.

With that statement coming less than ten days after a local hotel I used to eat at regularly for years having closed down, I would like to buy half an ounce of whatever he has been smoking please.

Well I reckon you brought this information to the right place, because there are some serious masturbators to be found on TVF.

Trump at his best! ????
"Donald Trump used a freewheeling press conference on Friday, intended to provide updates on the coronavirus, as an opportunity to attack Democrats, praise his own intelligence, lash out at CNN and spread false and misleading information about the status of the outbreak, as a slew of new cases were confirmed aboard a cruise ship off the California coast."

I suspect that the "false and misleading information" about the virus, was also present in his attacks on CNN and the Democrats, and for sure it was false and misleading when he praised his own intelligence. Someone should have told him it was a serious briefing, not a rally.

Yes. Only in Thailand could this happen. There are a lot of people on the roads who seem brain dead, but this one wins the prize.

It never ceases to amaze me that these people can't recognise reckless driving, and driving with undue care and attention, which it seriously seems to be the case here, and immediately charge the drivers with it. He obviously wasn't paying attention or he wouldn't have needed to suddenly swerve and wasn't looking at what was coming the opposite way, or he wouldn't have pulled into the wrong lane and wiped three people out.

And I strongly suspect that despite their best efforts it will be a war zone out there, pretty much as usual. Thais and crazy tourists won't let a little thing like the threat of death slow them down when they want their water madness fun.
I did have a laugh though when I noted the suggestion to not throw water, but to give gifts to monks instead! Gotta keep the economy ticking.

Indeed. The idiots supposedly running the show should enter the Olympic gymnastic events, as the back-flips they can pull make the average world class gymnast look ordinary. It's the Thai knee jerk thing that they say something seriously stupid, then pull it back as soon as they get criticized. Same reason laws to protect lives on the roads get pulled in hours, if not days, as they are unpopular and a Thai Government can't be unpopular now can it?

6 minutes ago, TopDeadSenter said:That is your opinion. I would argue that the impeachment process started with the Bidens corruption overseas in Ukraine and involved his son Hunter landing a job he was unqualified for, but only got it through and because of his father Joe. Trump then rightly started investigating it, and that appalling video "son of a bleep he got fired" came out then it was a lot of backpedaling and clumsy attempts to claim Biden was exonerated and cleared (false).
Maybe you should take off your partisan glasses and read the article in full, especially the line "No evidence has been given to back up the accusation." Claiming corruption by the Bidens is a fact, when it has no evidence to back it up is simply slander, a gutter level tactic used by your revered leader continuously.

Are we somehow supposed to trust a site giving their views of left bias, when they themselves have a decidedly right bias? Checking facts on what you are reading goes a long way towards helping you not read, or believe the wrong stuff.

Sarcasm alert on.
Well, the farang should have known better. Everyone knows you are not allowed to be more successful than Thai run bars, so by the bar owner next doors unquestionably sound logic, he had it coming.

Per minute was I believe the claim, so thankfully then, the whole backlog of 60+ million applying simultaneously can be solved in about 20 minutes.
Unless of course you are trying to support something without any foundation?
