  1. Perhaps you are just referring to people without a moral compass like Trump brokering a peace deal but then he is not a responsible adult leader. Who did you have in mind then?
  2. Jim Jordan's playbook has always been shielding despots from the law, even when he was a wrestling coach at Ohio State.
  3. Trump's effort to leave no stone unturned in his grab for power now goes beyond the pale. Where is this going? Perhaps he will have a rally in Guyana next to celebrate another tragedy in US history. Do you consider Guyana as another example of deep state and FBI and government overreach used to persecute innocent US citizens. In your opinion will Trump replace Jim Jones? How the Waco siege resonates 30 years later. "But the tragedy is also a powerful moment in political extremist groups’ ideologies and highlights some themes that Trump has emphasized in the past: the idea of a tyrannical “deep state,” fears of government overreach and opposition to gun control". Analysis: How the Waco siege resonates 30 years later | PBS NewsHour
  4. When I first read about the Waco Siege and David Koresh in 1993, I assumed that Waco was pronounced "wacko" which I thought was a fitting description for the cult leader. Then after watching Fixer Upper I realized my mistake. Now, hearing about Trump's Rally there, "wacko" comes to mind, and it is a again a fitting description.........
  5. You seem to be unable to join the dots. With no disrespect, you seem to have a disassociation issue with this case , perhaps this article may help you! "The internet has just as much misinformation, uninformed opinions, and "alternative" facts as it does reliable information. If we’re going to improve the intelligence and creativity............., we're going to need to know how to make the best use of our brain and the knowledge available to us". Connecting the Dots: Learning How to Learn for Modern Day Thinkers (sambrinson.com)
  6. Trump's lies and rhetoric are most likely the reason behind it. Occam's Razor comes to mind. "The simplest explanation is usually the correct one". Occam's razor - Wikipedia

  9. Did you watch the whole 44,000 hours then? The alternative to make your claim, I would suggest, was you have only watched Tucker's highly selective edited version.
  10. So Tucker is your go to source of facts is he? Fox News won a court case by 'persuasively' arguing that no 'reasonable viewer' takes Tucker Carlson seriously! Fox Wins McDougal Case, Argues No One Takes Tucker Carlson Seriously (businessinsider.com)
  11. I have ongoing problems with my retina and the same for prostate cancer yet my GP continues to write me yearly referrals. It seems a waste of time as you are correct about referrals thank you I will keep it in mind. No need to post it, it is on the web. Yes, the Medicare fee is totally inadequate.

  13. There is another part-time actor, and an ex game show TV star who has always wanted to open one of his business franchises in Moscow and is likewise an admirer of Putin. Maybe George could help him with tips on how to become a citizen and ambassador too, as he might find another passport handy soon.
  14. It beggars belief that the average non-college educated worker in US on a low income could possibly vote for candidates who are against Govt-assisted health care. The US must have one of the worst records in the western world for public health and affordability as demonstrated by the pandemic. Seems they need to go across the border to Canada and Mexico for access to affordable health care. The welfare of ordinary people does not seem to be a concern for the Conservatives
  15. My favourite laugh in shows like Flip or Flop is when they talk about increasing area and say "more square footage".
  16. I recently saw my Opthalmologist and Urologist for ongoing in Adelaide and need a referral every year. Medical Insurance does not cover outpatient visits its for inpatients. Medicare pays a recommended fee for specialist visits though generally less than 50% for me.
  17. I would suggest most here, would not have a clue what a 1/16" is. The rest of the civilised world metricated in the 70's except for the third world countries of Liberia and Myanmar and of course the US. To be fair, the US did legislate Metrication but it was not mandated, in effect reneging of their planned transition to join the rest of the world.
  18. Why would people say that without a good reason! ‘I’m just not going to leave’: New book reveals Trump vowed to stay in White House Trump threatened not to leave White House after election loss, book says | US politics | The Guardian
  19. Definitely not lucky, as we are not, to be "blessed" with someone's presence. 301 pieces of unnecessary padding for a once informative forum.....and still counting.
  20. It was a better thread before the socio-ideological nuance appeared.
  21. Another court rejection....... Trump has a very busy court agenda. With so many irons in the fire, something will eventually stick. With this type of defence I am sure it will. During the deposition, "he (Trump) misidentified a decades-old photograph of her (Jean Carroll) as one of his ex-wives", then "In the deposition, Trump was dismissive of Carroll’s claims, saying: 'Physically she’s not my type". Obviously both statements are mutually exclusive. Trump loses last bid to keep key evidence out of rape trial (nbcnews.com)
  22. The tail wagging the dog come to mind. He lies to control the narrative so that if the indictment eventually does come it has been normalised and won't be seen in such a bad light by the non base. His lie also excites his base and elicits donations. I would suggest that the law has its own agenda and timeline. "The mills of justice grind slowly but grind exceedingly fine"!
  23. I would check with your Thai bank and ask about opening an International A/C and ask about what documentation you need and your eligibility to do the transfer. Then compare it to Dee Monday which I don't think has any barriers. I would suggest the exchange rate could be about the same. Do a search on this forum for comments on them. I suddenly left Thailand ill, once thinking my money could be just transferred like in the West but could not. I needed the money quickly and the only way I could transfer the money was through Paypal which was linked to my Thai A/C at an extreme premium. 24. Apologies, I was addressing a lot of other posters' comments and was just being lazy.
