Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records
LosLobo replied to Scott's topic in World News
Trump was the privileged son of a multi-millionaire, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. All doors are open to someone like that, with many choices and obviously with no limitation on bad behaviour. But in the courtroom Trump is just any other defendant and Lady Justice is blind to class inequality. Trump has already been warned about his rhetoric inciting violence yet he still persists. With the judge's family being targeted, I am sure the judge will not take this kindly. Trump once tweeted his golden rule "He who has the gold makes the rules". But Trump should take note that in the courtroom, it is the judge who makes the rules! -

Evidently, election fraud is also a NY State crime! "During a news conference after the arraignment.......Mr. Bragg mentioned a number of potential underlying crimes, most prominently a violation of a state election law that bars any conspiracy to promote “the election of a person to public office by unlawful means.” Explaining the 34 Charges Against Donald Trump - The New York Times (archive.md) -
I first went to KK as a tourist because I had a friend who had married a Thai girl from there. I thoroughly enjoyed the real Thailand as opposed to the tourist traps I had been to and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I subsequently went there many times when I eventually moved to Thailand and I coincidently lived in Issan for a while.

Stormy lost $300k in her defamation case with Trump. In reality, grifter Trump is possibly the winner, leaving no stone unturned, he has raised and won $7M. The losers being his supporters. Who said crime doesn't pay? This sets a very poor example to the masses. All the money he has raised from this and the big lie etc needs be thoroughly investigated and if not used for the stated purpose e.g legal expenses etc fraud charges should be issued. -

This is a complex issue with an aggregate of reasons, mainly based on Trump's time in the State. I suggest a summary of why the Statute may have be extended for Trump : 1) Trump's time in White House 2) Covid epidemic paused a lot of criminal cases 3) Trump officially moved residence from NY, I would suggest to avoid legal jeopardy, a move which I think bit him in the a** in this case. I have not analysed that yet as it is only recent ! But almost a year ago, Roe Vs Wade was overturned with the help of GOP appointed Justice Clarence Thomas whose wife is an anti-abortion activist. Should he have excused himself? -

How can the media concentrate and report on other more important issues plaguing the country when you acknowledge that half of the Govt i.e. the House is doing the opposite. All the media doesn't make things up like Fox et alia. But obviously you would not know that if you only watch Fake Fox News. -

Just like GOP House, instead of other more important issues plaguing the country is concentrating on Fox's shopping list of grievances like Biden laptop, impeaching Fauci and Mayorkas, DOJ/FBI bias and the Afghan withdrawal you mean? -

I would suggest that the two years residency rule kicks from the date of return irrespective if its before or after eligibility age. The period is solely based on the date that the returning person resumes residency and is two years from that date. 7.1.4 Requirements for former residents of Australia receiving a portable pension | Social Security Guide (dss.gov.au) -
Bangkok makes pact with Moscow to collaborate on 6 aspects
LosLobo replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Hey, no need to put me on that list. With respect, you seem to have an emotional attachment with Thai US trade. Maybe just as emotional as mine with the Russia/Ukraine conflict. If you want to debate it perhaps you should initiate a new topic. Honestly I don't have any interest in Thai US Trade and have no expert knowledge about it so I will not engage. Seriously I wish you well. Take care! -

No, I didn't but thanks for the information I didn't know that the US and the BOT were the same entity! But why does you OP link quote "trade in goods" when you say I should address and include investment in a comparison. Though I must admit my link was a poor choice done with little analysis but I find that all these rabbit holes you are trying to divert and deflect to do little to support your OP. I found this link about Japan's commitment to sanctions against Russia interesting maybe you will too! Japan, other G-7 leaders step up Russia sanctions | AP News I agree with you I agree to disagree., you have your wish! Cheers -

Yet, you are the one who brought the Japan gotcha revelation into the discussion maybe you tell me ! Yet, in your original post you used stats from US not the horse's mouth. Yet, your OP link used export data. I agree let's disagree! ???? Take Care! -
Bangkok makes pact with Moscow to collaborate on 6 aspects
LosLobo replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Are you conceding that your data analysis was flawed? You have not stated anything that supports your original position. I think basically you have agreed with every I have said except for 1) my using trading partner which you said may be a misnomer, and, 2) my statement "If together with other allies, the US imposed sanctions on Thailand, Russia/China, would not have the capacity to absorb the loss of trade" which you stated is untrue because Japan is the largest trading partner. My response: 1) my trading partner information came directly from my link and as far as I know it did not include investments and perfectly matched the scope of your OP which only addressed Thailand's trade in goods. Accordingly this was my main focus in this context. 2) you have ignored the fact that, Japan is an ally of US and supporter of Ukraine as is Australia, South Korea and other members. So my assertion still holds true. With respect, I would suggest that the rest of your response although it maybe interesting is possibly irrelevant in support your original hypothesis. But good post! -
The ‘no-nonsense’ judge set to face Donald Trump in the courtroom
LosLobo replied to Scott's topic in World News
Just watching Fox and they say that the indictment is not sealed. PBS and NPR the most trusted and unbiased news services in US both confirm that it is sealed. The only scenario where both could be correct is my theory on the alternate space-time continuum, any other more logical theory? -

The ‘no-nonsense’ judge set to face Donald Trump in the courtroom
LosLobo replied to Scott's topic in World News
Trump rarely gets to be accountable with consequences for his rhetoric, its not in his playbook and he is out of his territory here. So I think he will quietly submit. The scenario set by Stormy suggested someone quietly willing to bend over and take their punishment like a bad little boy. This attitude will go down well with his cell mates.
