  1. I used Mor Prom (free until the end of March) to request an international Covid certificate which was delivered as a PDF via email from intervac ([email protected]) which ended up in my Junk Mail but fortunately I was keeping an eye out for it. If you need to go in person & are in the Pattaya area, the office is next to Naklua Fishmarket, (No need for an appointment as they accept walk-ins now), don't bother going if you don't have Mor Prom (on my 1st attempt I had copies of my proof of vaccination & passport but they wouldn't give me a certificate without my Mor Prom number).
  2. Lol, I got the joke straight away (& have had that tune stuck in my head ever since) but thought only guys over 50 & from the UK would get it… Never knew that the Nolan sisters made it in/to the US
  3. You mean UK surely as that’s about the only place where the Nolan sisters would be known (British, 56 & I’m too young to know them)
  4. Very interesting documentary on Youtube (Can't quite find it now) that featured a place on Soi 13/2 (Soi Post Office) Pattaya that could arrange for "Man With Man Marriage"... NB I'm anti-marriage (as my long suffering gf will attest) so of no interest to me, but maybe of interest to others...
  5. Just read that Macron had an urgent phone call with Putin... Wow the French have surrendered already!
  6. Highly recommend Mister Prakan for their service (I emailed them at 12:30pm on Friday to say I needed a Covid insurance certificate for my upcoming trip to the UK, I had a reply in 5 mins to say they would arrange it for me & the certificate 30 minutes later). FWIW I'm also in my 50s (just turned 56) & on a Non-Imm O and I went for the "Visa Friendly" policy with Pacific Cross, I opted out of the Outpatient cover & have a 100,000 deductible and my renewal this year (done on the day before my 56 birthday) was 26,800 THB for 3.5 Million THB cover.
  7. Great Information, I'm flying to Manchester with Qatar in March and had assumed I needed a PCR test but if I don't then I'll save myself the hassle. When coming to Thailand, what do people use for proof of Insurance? I have a Pacific Cross "Visa Friendly" policy which covers me up to $100,000 USD for Covid (requirement may have changed to $50,000 nowadays but my cover is 3.5Million THB) but as far as I can tell the Policy doesn't explicit mention Covid cover, it just says that it's covered in their brouchers / website... Do I need to ask them for a separate certificate confirming I have the neccesary cover for Covid or will scans of my policy be enough?
  8. Finally cracked it, GF phoned the hospital (Phyathai in Sri Racha) that had arranged our vaccinations & after updating their records (added my date of birth & corrected the phone number) they provided her with a 13 digit number that I could use to register for Mor Prom - Registered & all my vaccination details were there. Pretty painless process in the end as she was able to do it all over the phone by simply providing my passport number, Date of Birth & details of when/where we went for the jabs.
  9. Long story short am already double vaxed (July/August with Sinopharm) but because of the way I got it (through a friend of my GF's Auntie who put me on PTT's company register) I'm struggling to get registered on Mor Prom & cannot get a yellow vaccination passport (in Naklua) without doing so. Problem now is I'm travellng back to the UK next month (Non negotiable, I'm going even if I can't come back) so would like to have something more official than the "Certificate" (which wasn't even accepted at Pattayarak in Naklua to get a yellow vaccine certificate) that I have before my return. Travelling back to the UK on 10th, but effectivelly on 7th as I'm staying with my mate in Bangkok to sort out getting the PCR test etc... so really need to get in somewhere for the 1st shot early next week to give me enough time to get the 2nd shot. Can anybody recommend somewhere where I can get vaccinated quickly (Happy to pay as I figure it will be cheaper than having to pay for 2 weeks quarantine when I do come back or staying in the UK long enough to get double vaxed there). It really is a joke when you're having to be injected with drugs that you don't need (I am fully vaccinated) just so you can tick a box to get a piece of paper... Thanks MTV Edit: Question 2, I'm flying to the UK on Qatar, they haven't mentioned me needing anything to travel but I've seem reports that KLM need forms that meet the UK Covid certificate entry requirements (Which mine doesn't as it doesn't have my Date of Birth on there), obviously the UK cannot refuse me entry but does anybody know if Qatar will stop me travelling if I don't meet the UK requirements? Question 3: If I do make it home & Thailand won't accept the vaccinations I've had, can I come back & do the Phuket Sandbox for 7 days or am I forced to do 14 days quarantine? Again, many thanks for any help here... MTV
  10. Good spot, I should have typed... The Number on my certificate was 689675 so I tried 6000000689675 and got an error message along the lines of "Customer Not Found".
  11. Closest I can find is "Sun Valley Scene"... https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63354246 ? Sun Valley, Idaho – Only at the Allen & Co. conference are you likely to stumble on the sight of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg – No. 4 and No. 5 on the Forbes list of the world’s wealthiest people — taking a leisurely stroll on a street as aptly named as Dollar Road. The two mega-minds of digital and business were seen doing just that on Thursday evening as the annual gathering of business, political and philanthropic movers and shakers at the ritzy Sun Valley Idaho mountain resort began to wind down. Disney’s Bob Iger and incoming Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav were out and about during the day but headed for the airport in the late afternoon. That was around the time Gates and Zuckerberg were seen walking and talking on the road that runs along the southern edge of the resort complex in the Sawtooth Mountains.
  12. The Number on my certificate was 68975 so I tried 600000068975 and got an error message along the lines of "Customer Not Found". Spoke to the help line who told me I needed to go back to the hospital (Phyathai in Sri Racha) that arranged my vaccinations so I went into Pattayarak Health Centre in Naklua who told me that I couldn't get a vaccination certificate if I wasn't registered on Mor Prom! - I have proof of vaccination, proof (Passport) that it's me that was vaccinated but No... Cannot!!! I guess tomorrow I'll be speaking with Phyathai & unless I can sort it out over the phone, paying them a visit... I really do love living in Thailand though ???? Edit: I'm going through all of this as I want (have) to go back to the UK next month so am seriously tempted to just go get 2 x vaccinated again, can anybody recommend anywhere in Pattaya where I can go (don't mind paying) & get double vac'ed in the next 4 weeks?
  13. Quick update, Pattayrak now accept walkins (won't take a booking) but if you're not registered on Mor Prom then it's probably a waste of time going there, or at least it was for me today where I was told I needed to go back to the hospital in Sri Racha who did my vaccinations to get them to update my records ????
  14. I just tried the 096 190 9462 number again & it is the correct number, seems their phone lines do not open until 10am...
  15. I'm trying to register for the Mor Prom app but I don't have a 13 digit Thai ID number & using the 6 digit number that was on my 2nd vaccination appointment (prefixed with 60000000 comes back as an invalid ID (as does using my passport number prefixed with 6000). I remember somebody posting a phone number for contacting somebody to get registered on Mor Prom, can anybody please share this. (NB I did see 096 190 9462 in an article about "Expats Vaccinated Can APply for a Free E-Vaccine Passport" but this number seems to be unavailable now). Many Thanks MTV
  16. I did the opposite with Asahi Dry Zero & thought the Zero related to it having no sugar but still had alcohol in it until I took a load to a barbeque & one of my mates asked me if I was driving! Tastes great though so would recommend it if you want a non-alcoholic beer & can find it (this was in Singapore where it's sold in most shops). Edit: Some pros of drinking alcohol free beer https://www.thebluedolphinstore.com/en/alcohol-free-beer-is-not-fattening/
  17. The WPC said she was from Warrington so I took "Wooly" to be "Wooly Back" (aka Sheep Sh4gger) which is a term used by Scousers to describe somebody who lives near Liverpool but not in Liverpool itself...
  18. Enjoyed "The Staircase"... Warning the 1st episode is a bit slow & the 2nd one only a little quicker but it does turn into a fascinating (true life) story]... Also enjoyed The Rules of The Game... Oh & am really enjoying the Responder, though I agree the accents aren't great (I'm from the Warrington so did laugh when the kids called the WPC a "Wooly" ???? ).
  19. Heineken 0% also in Big C
  20. No joke reply... Worked for Barclays UK at Radbroke Hall in the 80's/90's (about 3,500 staff mainly IT people) & we had our own pub on site + Tennis Courts, Rugby/Football/Cricket Pitches, Gym, Squash Courts, Bowling/Putting Greens - We nicknamed it Butlins cos it was more like a holiday camp than an office. Lunch was either a pub lunch or lunch in the canteen followed by a couple of pints.... Lost count of the number of times somebody had a couple too many & fell asleep in the toilets for the afternoon. The site was in the middle of nowhere but fortunately they put coaches on to the major towns so if you did have a couple too many (or stopped for a couple after work) you could leave the car & get home / back the next morning. Happy Days ????
  21. Thank you for your post, I emailed Mr Prakan on Sunday afternoon to say that I hadn't recieved a renewal notice & got a renewal notice/qote from them early Monday morning (I suspect I would have recieved this anyway if I had have waited another day). Paid the renewal premium/provided them with the signed renewal form on Monday morning & by 1:30 pm they emailed me to say that my renewal has been processessed & I should recieve the documents in the post. Thanks again for taking the time to post a reply. Regards MTV
