  1. I'm not confusing anything, I mean that some nationalities - including Indian - cannot get the usual 30-day extension to the 60-day stay a tourist visa provides. There have been reports to that effect here and elsewhere for years, so it seems to be a long-standing immigration policy.
  2. I think the OP is correct in saying that Indian nationals cannot get a 30-day extension.
  3. You're right about that, you didn't overstay. If you can get another tourist visa is hard to predict, all you can do is try and hope for the best.
  4. You should have no problem getting a tourist visa.
  5. Your information is outdated. It is now possible to apply for an ordinary visa (E-type visa) using the eVisa website. As a previous poster wrote correctly, the fee is $42. A tourist (T-type) eVisa costs $36.
  6. I agree. I think each first-time longterm extension applicant should be made to undergo a criminal record check, no matter what visa rhey enter with and what the purpose of the extension is. In return, they could make subsequent extensions easier and/or less frequent, it's just a nonsensical paper shuffling exercise in many cases.
  7. Ready for what, exactly? It's become quite clear that nobody wants to fly there. No nearly the numbers they've dreamed up anyway.
  8. There are countries where the "rule of law" exists, and then there are countries like Thailand. It really is that simple.
  9. That would be a horrible outcome, and a slap in the face of most voters.
  10. It's a bilateral agreement between Thailand and Brazil. Such a 90-day visa exempt stay cannot be extended by 30 days in-country and the "2 per calendar year" rule for land border entries doesn't apply. I'm not sure about border runs. They might well count days and/or deny entry. Maybe it would be best to check with a border bounce company, they should know.
  11. You can apply for a 30-day extension in-country, for example at IT Square Laksi again.
  12. Unlimited 30-day border bounces. They can't extend that in-country though, maybe they got tired of all the bouncing around.
  13. This year we will all die from... Ocean Overheating Alright then, the Covid scare is dead, we needed something new. Meh.
  14. An immigration office is pretty much run like a fiefdom, deviation from the official rules is pretty much accepted. You'd have to explain what specifically your complaint is. Some "misunderstandings" are easier to sort out than others.
  15. Unfortunately they've failed to make gradual increases to the amounts they require, in line with inflation. So I'd suspect that whenever the next increase will happen, it will be substantial. Of course checking criminal records of first-time applicants would make a lot more sense to weed out criminals than increasing the amounts. Also, unless they get rid of agents, the required amounts are quite meaningless anyway.
  16. Nonsense, it's all in your head. My local Big C is as busy as ever. They don't really need salami buyers to survive.
  17. I'm sure you'll be missed. ????
  18. Okay. Just what this has to do with this topic is anyone's guess.
  19. While they're probably within their rights to make this change, they could have given their valued members a bit more than two weeks advance notice.
  20. That email doesn't seem to mention the address, which is an important part. As @DrJack54 said, getting past the document check could be a challenge unless they're familiar with that. The IO processing your application, on the other hand, can look up your TM30 notification in their system to verify you're registered at the address you write down in your application, so no problem there if you make it past the document check.
  21. Yeah well that's fairly obvious. Nobody in their right mind would have given the hapless <deleted>-up Hunter that kind of a job if it wasn't for his daddy. On his own, he could have bagged a job as a janitor or something. Maybe.
  22. I don't wish to be insensitive, but how can you use both? Do I get to choose if I refer to them as "they" or "he", or do they get to choose what offends them the least on any given day?
  23. If you have the screenshot of an online TM30 notification and take a printout of that with you, you should be good to go to get an extension of a visa exempt entry at IT Square Laksi. It's important that the TM30 notification is for your current entry. They will send you away if you produce one that had been filed before you last entered the country visa exempt. You've mentioned a fine, probably for late reporting? I don't think that would come up.
