The more the useless PM says that he has it all under control, the more people should be worried. Maybe it's all good (and I really hope so!), but in that case they just got lucky and the thing with luck is that it's a fickle beast.

So he has no money, but enough money to buy sedatives for the children? I don't think so. It's probably worse than that though, instead of being sedated they are probably dehydrated and just plain bored and exhausted. Hopefully, the exposure will lead to action.

I wonder how many other soldiers are serving in the Thai army who have the same disillusioned state of mind as the perpetrator and who might act it out in the same way if and when triggered.
The stark contrast between the official image of the army (reinforced by brainwashing starting in school) and the less than honorable reality sure doesn't help.

As there's no value in their "confirmed cases" number whatsoever, as far as I'm concerned, their "PUI" number represents the number of cases. Those without or with only mild symptoms likely aren't included in that either, but at least it's closer to reality.

Unless you have two sets of fingerprints on top of having two nationalities, I think it's almost certain that they've linked your passports. That's not necessarily a problem, I'd guess, but you might get questioned about it some time. Unless and until that happens, your guess is as good as mine, they won't tell you.

I am surprised people expect me to be denied a tourist visa. i have only had 2 such visas in a 2 year 5 month period. Surely i am allowed to receive one more.....
Even leaving aside that you've spent a lot of time in Thailand on ED visa, which doesn't look good in the current climate, I think having a remark stamp in itself is and would always have been a real killer. Even many years ago, long before the latest crackdowns, people who had such a remark stamp were unable to get another SETV. That (in itself) could and still can be remedied by getting a new passport.

The problem may arise if the Embassy ask to see financial proof , a Thai bank statement .
If you have a new "clean" passport and then shoe a statement which shows you have been in Thailand longer than your passport states .
I could be in that situation soon , applying for a Thai visa in Laos with a new passport and then having to show a Thai bank statement with years of activity .
What would they do then ?
That's a valid concern. I'd show them a bank statement from back home instead. That's what I've always done anyway. Here's why: Much as I - personally - think that a local bank account is useful for a frequent visitor, a narrow-minded official might well be of the opinion that a "real tourist" doesn't have a Thai bank account. I don't want to get into that kind of argument.

Lots of speculation here, in some cases completely unnecessary because the picture of the passport page alone already provides a lot of information. Accusing the OP of not being forthcoming is a bit over the top.
Indonesian passport, flight QZ256 from Jakarta to Bangkok, so we also know it's Don Mueang not Suvarnabhumi because of the airline.
Some questions of interest remain, obviously: What's the OP's age and total number of visits to Thailand in the last year and in this passport? The denial stamp is on page 45, which could (could!) indicate extensive history (Thai officers seem pretty diligent in using up passport pages in order).

I wouldn't even care if he's making xenophobic remarks when being stressed, if only he was qualified for his job and tried to take it seriously.
Now more than ever, Thailand needs a real health minister, not this useless piece of work.

I was at Hua Lamphong railway station yesterday. They still charge 3 baht to use their restrooms, and they're filthier than ever. No soap, which would be a crime even under normal circumstances. Also, no hand sanitizer to be seen throughout the station. No big deal for me personally as I brought my own, but really, this is what they call being prepared and doing their best? Fail.
Entering the nearby MRT station, hand sanitizer was readily available at the entrance. Same with all BTS stations I've been to recently. Good.
Today I went to True Digital Park and a girl in nurse uniform at the entrance pointed one of those body temperature scanners at my forehead. Good. I seemed to pass the test, so she stamped my wrist with a green duck (I kid you not). A bit over the top, but I didn't really mind. I cannot see them doing that at the busier malls though.
So as with everything in Thailand: very inconsistent!

Just went to Big C and wasn't asked for my passport. Never have been asked before either, no matter if paying cash or cashless. In Bangkok.
Then again, I'm not a member. I'd assume that they now need (or want) to collect the passport number for their membership database.

You should consider getting a new passport first
That's good advice. With that stamp in the passport, the OP's history and Vientiane's tightening, a denial would be pretty much guaranteed IMHO.

It's plain ridiculous that Thailand still only has 25 confirmed cases - and has had since days.
They also haven't updated their official numbers at https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/eng/situation.php since 2-3 days - doing your best, you say?
Then you have that muppet as health minister. He got the job to push through his cannabis legalization pet project and that's fine, but he's clearly lacking the skills needed to deal with a serious emerging public health threat such as this one.

That's about the only piece of good news about the virus that isn't fake.
-
Their number of confirmed cases remains completely meaningless as long as there's a growing backlog of cases that need confirmation. They don't seem to be in any hurry to get that fixed, and it's easy to see why.
-
They've simply put too many eggs in one basket, causing them to lose their once famous teflon shield in the process.
Sooner or later that strategy was doomed to fail, not as quickly and spectacularly as with this unexpected virus outbreak, but doomed nevertheless.

Nice one, hopefully it will be a success.

Is it considered normal that someone who has TB and could infect his passengers with that disease can get a license as a driver in public transport? Or is that another case of "only in Thailand"? I'm genuinely curious.

Let him die in prison and keep his corpse locked up for the remainder of his 150 years term. That will send a strong and valuable message to wannabe copycat fraudsters out there.

Very good news, I have to say though that going into your branch near Suk Soi 8 the staff seem surprised when somebody tries to communicate in English!
Not my experience at all, their English was more than adequate when I registered there and I didn't notice any signs of surprise either.

Good that they practice waving the Chinese flag already. From sycophant to vassal state in what, may another 30 years or so?

Geez, it's not questionable. It's for airline boarding pass, not immigration.
You just made that up. The OP made no mention of what the outbound ticket is needed for.

Sounds like an ED visa in "corruption" instead of "language studies". ????
How do you know if two Passports are Linked
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

We've had reports from people who were denied entry for the bogus reason of spending "too much" time in Thailand and who then applied for an Elite visa. They got the Elite visa and it fixed their issues, so a denial of entry in itself shouldn't lead to a rejection.
Also, some people who spent "too much" time in Thailand were advised by IOs that they should apply for an Elite visa. It's seen as a proper visa for long-term tourism.
