  1. You're probably right with regards to their motivation. You can re-enter from Laos overland just as well.
  2. He expressed hope, so this hasn't even been agreed upon yet and the article seems premature. I wonder if the EU does even know about Thailand's hopes and dreams.

  4. As of now, the opening post has a whopping 9 negative and only 2 positive reactions. Why such a thread isn't just binned is anyone's guess. Some things will never change, Thaiger or no Thaiger, pointless drivel remains pointless drivel.
  5. Although no details have been provided whatsoever, it's pretty clear that this will be bad news for anyone who wants to open a new bank account for perfectly legitimate reasons. More requirements, more documents, more confusion among the poorly educated bank clerks.
  6. There are photo and copy shops in the basement. I don't think they'd like your two-sheet TM7, but I can't tell you with confidence that they won't accept it either. You've got the correct two extra forms.
  7. Pattaya is quite walkable and many expats look like they could use the exercise. On the odd occasion that one needs to venture farther than their feet will carry them, Grab and Bolt are fine budget-wise.
  8. Breaking News! Cold viruses - including Covid-19 and influenza - undergo "constant evolution". Who would have thought!!
  9. I think HE should face punishment for posting the picture of an 8 (!) y.o. girl relieving herself on Facebook. Regardless of where this happened, he had no business taking and sharing such a photo. As for the parents of the girl, they obviously should have made an effort to locate the restrooms, which cannot have been far away.
  10. Grow a spine and leave the coalition then.
  11. Congrats. Which documents did they actually keep? Just the application form, passport and copies? Anything else?
  12. Yet another pivotal flip-flop. How it would have sucked to invest in a cannabis business here. Investors take note.
  13. Da Nang has been talked up by certain YouTubers since before Covid. And it does have a lot going for it, it's a great place. BUT - as has already been mentioned here - Vietnam currently doesn't have a retirement visa. There's talk about it now and again, but nothing has materialized - yet? That pretty much limits the place to retirees who have married a Vietnamese, as they can get a TRC (temporary residence card). And to those who are willing to do visa runs, but eventually they tire of it or Vietnamese immigration denies their next back-to-back tourist visa.
  14. Here's a novel idea, go to their office and enroll. They'll need to copy your passport for the visa paperwork anyway. For getting an education visa for university studies, you don't need the help of an agent.
  15. Indeed. Yet another misleading headline. The only thing "online" was the customer acquisition.
  16. That's harsh, even for a no-frills airline. Their 737s seem to be getting somewhat aged.
  17. I see, that sounds terrific. But maybe she should explain this philosophy to Thailand's billionaire oligarchs, not to a stand-up comedian.
  18. If Thai schools focused more on the subject matters they are supposed to teach and less on policing students' appearance, the Thai education system wouldn't produce the abysmal results we're seeing.
  19. Seriously, they released this warning for Bangkok today? It was raining all day long yesterday (where was the warning?) and it's been nothing but sunshine today.
  20. As Trump continues to deny his "encounter" with Stormy Daniels despite paying quite a bit of hush money, hearing her testimony is important for jurors so that they can form an opinion on the credibility of the defendant. I don't see anything wrong with her testimony; it was "graphic" because the encounter was. The jurors are adults, after all, they'll survive.
  21. No, the headline of this article is somewhat misleading. What was extended - by six months - was the ability of Taiwanese and Indian passport holders to enter Thailand visa exempt. Initially, that had been approved as a test run for three months only.
  22. Chances are he just found someone who loves him longtime.
  23. No, you just think too much.
  24. Pretty pissy weather in Bangkok all day long.
