  1. Aranyaprathet / Poi Pet Say no more!
  2. You need to apply for a re-entry permit for the under consideration period anyway. That's the best time to tell them when you will be gone, so that they can schedule the home visit for when you're at home. Not really a problem.
  3. I used Bolt a few times but having to pay cash annoyed me. Has that been fixed?
  4. That's interesting and I guess you won't get a definitive answer until you go to the embassy. Maybe you could take along your boarding pass as alternative piece of evidence of flying into Malaysia.
  5. Yes, ask for a 30-day extension for the purpose of tourism at your local immigration office. It's routinely granted.
  6. You definitely need bank statements that cover 3 months and a (current/ending) balance of at least 20k baht. Anything beyond that, such as requiring that the balance hasn't dropped below 20k baht within those 3 months, is something I've heard from Vientiane but not from Savannakhet or Phnom Penh. That might be hit and miss.
  7. With regards to Myanmar, a recent topic on here had up to date info. At this time, your only Myanmar border run option is Ranong, all the other crossings remain closed (at least for border runs).
  8. Tomorrow, well let me guess, you'll get the usual 30 days if you're from one of the countries that get those.
  9. I don't read Tod's advice as saying that you should go late. In a perfect world, everyone takes care of their immigration business well in advance. I read it as saying if your immigration office happens to be closed for a holiday and you haven't done anything about your expiring permission to stay before, then make sure that you go there on the very first day they're open again to avoid overstay penalties. Which is good advice.
  10. You need to do it where you are registered to be staying, or in other words, where your current TM30 notification has been filed.
  11. Post a picture of your stamp if you're unsure, someone on here will be able to tell you what it is.
  12. Supposedly it's a multi-entry visa, so I'd say yes, you'll be allowed to split whatever time will be allowed in Thailand into multiple visits.
  13. What you did was incredibly foolish. As an overstayer, at least make sure that you don't need to use your passport before you leave.
  14. Just parking would be a hassle in many places. No thanks.
  15. Chances are that airport immigration will like seeing a same-day land border bounce even less than a 30-day extension when they get to see your passport again. They dislike those "OUT-INs" with a passion, be careful.
  16. There's no official limit for visa exempt entries by air, so yes, you can call it "making up their own rules" or "exercising discretion".
  17. There has been a policy change that has been discussed here. No valid permission to stay, no access to banking services. Some banks, branches and clerks might be more diligent about this than others, but there's an increasing number of reports that they do check.
  18. A druggie moaning about prisons, hilarious.
  19. Are you sure that you didn't have that dialog with a bar girl? If I could attach negative credibility to your "report", I would.
  20. Why would he be extradited, and to which country? Apparently he's accused of embezzling funds from his then Thai employer in 2017, and was now foolish enough to return to Thailand not realizing there's an outstanding arrest warrant.
  21. Not "from now on", you'll have to wait until this change actually comes into effect.
  22. That's a common misunderstanding. What you and other Westerners consider Thailand's "prime grade women" rate much lower in the eyes of most Thai men whose idea of female perfection is quite a bit different.
