  1. And so am I, we might just mean it in different ways...
  2. Yeah I know, and you know exactly who I referred to. I've been past those gates several times in the meantime, but do wait for an actual report.
  3. Wow, a tropical country is facing a heat wave. If that isn't news, I don't know what qualifies! It only happens once per year, every year come April.
  4. He's being taught a lesson that, having returned to Thailand, his life is in someone else's hands. Of course he could (and should) have known.
  5. I don't see why not. There was some misinformation posted here by someone who cannot read, when in fact the sign nearby the automatic gates says that you need a re-entry permit to be allowed to reenter.
  6. Another dumb comment. Why would Thailand or any other country object to having more tax residents? If a tourist becomes a tax resident thanks to staying in Thailand for "too long", that has no effect on their immigration status whatsoever, and the tax man can collect what's due. It's worth noting that you would become a tax resident even in case you entered Thailand illegally or in case you've overstayed.
  7. You shouldn't have any issues, they're quite friendly.
  8. Are there even any scheduled international flights available into Udon Thani? I think not, but things could have changed recently, so please consider this a genuine question. In that case, however, there probably haven't been many (if any) reports by "people with significant history" yet, so it would be difficult to answer the question how difficult or relaxed airport immigration is there.
  9. Pretty obvious that the Democrats should field a younger candidate. Will their leadership eventually see the light though? Their track record of pushing their favorite down the voters' throats speaks volumes.
  10. Okay, just another thing for the chicken littles to worry about.
  11. That confirms once again that TM30 being asked for is totally hit and miss.
  12. Such a sad excuse for a journalist, that was a thoroughly despicable performance. Kudos to Putin though, he played his dumb interviewer like a fiddle.
  13. At IT Square Laksi, it's hit and miss. They could ask you for your TM30 notification receipt, especially if an address outside of Bangkok is in their system. Sometimes you won't even get past the initial document check without it. No idea why you think you can use the Sam Yan office. Aren't you in Thailand visa exempt? If so, IT Square Laksi is the only immigration office in Bangkok you can use. To be clear. You also don't have a choice between Chaeng Watthana and IT Square Laksi. If you've entered visa exempt, you need to go to IT Square Laksi. If you've entered with a tourist visa, you need to go to Chaeng Watthana.
  14. If you do return via Cambodia, you would have the same option in Phnom Penh.
  15. They want YOU to cancel because Grab is quite strict with drivers who cancel too often. I've never reacted to such a plea. If they want to cancel, it's on them.
  16. Says it all. Nobody is above the law.
  17. That's not how fixers fix this. You're right about the database.
  18. Oh it would be a great beach... if you (and only you!) had unrestricted access.
  19. What shocks me the most, after having read dozens of incomprehensible posts riddled with spelling errors from you over the last months, is that you are apparently a teacher. Wow. You were trying to say?
  20. So what's the plan? Release him on parole, then charge him (again), then let him sneak out of the country (again)? I should buy more popcorn.
  21. Check if you can transit airside, without having to pass through immigration. I've done that at Don Mueang before, flying AirAsia, but I'm not sure what the situation is now. Best to check with your airline.
  22. Realistically, that's the most likely outcome. Simply pleading your case won't be of any help, you'd need to find an IO who's willing to overlook this transgression - for a fee.
  23. Just a local rule in Jomtien, they have quite a few of those. Why anyone aged 50+ would WANT to get an education visa, on the other hand, is anyone's guess. Going the retirement route is so much easier and better.
  24. Very unlikely if you join an organized border bounce to a friendly border. It's worth noting that some airport IOs strongly dislike those same-day land border bounces, however. So on subsequent entries by air, having those stamps in your passport might well make your situation worse.
  25. It's not uncommon for Jomtien to do this during high season, it has been reported before.
