  1. That's marvelous, using a proxy to get the best price for a VPN subscription. ????
  2. There you have it. I doubt they'd let a Pattaya resident who either doesn't work at all or works in Pattaya apply at the Sriracha office.
  3. Overstaying that long is pretty naughty, even by Indian standards.
  4. Did they find even a hint of prostitution on Soi 6?
  5. Considering that 45 days were given for visa exempt entries until the end of March, I don't understand how you can currently be on an overstay from a 30 day visa exempt entry. Please double check your dates (arrival and permitted to stay until) in your passport. If you do have a relatively short overstay, chances are that immigration would still be willing to give you an extension after paying the overstay fine.
  6. Which border was that? You've got your limits mixed up. You can enter twice per calendar year overland without a visa (visa exempt). You can extend each visa exempt entry once, by 30 days, no matter if you flew in or came overland - so for these extensions, there's a limit of "once per entry", not "twice per calendar year".
  7. Depending on your immigration office, you can apply within the last 30 or 45 days of your entry from your non-immigrant visa. Not earlier.
  8. Being from a failing state like the UK, he might have never seen an automatic sliding door in operation before, so you'll have to excuse his confusion.
  9. So it's not just old farang who go bonkers for Thai pussy, but also young Koreans. Interesting.
  10. Brilliant idea, that should attract quite some voters (based on past performances). ????
  11. The office is simply too small for the large number of people they need to be serving nowadays. I don't say something like this very often, but I do actually have some sympathy for those poor souls who have to work in that zoo every day. Going there once in a while really is bad enough, as the OP attests to.
  12. Not possible, no exceptions. You will definitely need your original passport when you apply for an extension.
  13. Just try it and be prepared to enter visa exempt if they won't give you a visa. I think you have a decent chance, as none of your previous visas were issued by them.
  14. You can enter as often as they let you in. I realize that isn't really helpful, but there's no set limit and immigration at airports are known to make up their own rules. You're rolling the dice, and the more time you spend in Thailand visa exempt, the riskier it is bound to get.
  15. I think two different things are getting confused here by some posters before. Firstly, eVisas are only available in some countries at this point, and strictly speaking, applicants need to be present in the country where they apply at the time of application, so that the Thai embassy or consulate that issues the visa actually has consular jurisdiction. Applying online in say one's home country while visiting one of Thailand's neighboring countries is at the very least questionable, and the chance of detection is probably higher when entering with a fresh eVisa overland. Secondly, the question of entry with an eVisa at a land border as such. They CAN be used overland, and a good example for people actually doing that without any issues are border bounces by people who have multi-entry eVisas that had been applied for and issued when they were still at home.
  16. You just made that up yourself, didn't you? There's no such restriction.
  17. That's not possible. Those 7 days aren't a regular extension, but rather an order to leave with a grace period. So leave you must, unless you end up in hospital or in court.
  18. How about making the arrest first and making the announcement then? They'll have egg on their face if anything goes wrong. Silly.
  19. Starting over with a fresh Non-O visa from a nearby embassy or consulate is your best option in this case. A bit of an effort, but 100% above board.
  20. That's nonsense and you should know it. There's no law change required.
  21. Too busy with the upcoming election to think about extending that, would be my guess.
  22. I agree, that would be the reasonable thing to do when nobody at that branch can speak English.
  23. How many non-Thai customers who are unable to read Thai do you reckon they have, in Nakhon Sawan specifically?
  24. I'm happy to announce that I still accept the US Dollar. "The World" can send all of the dollars it wishes to dump to me.
