  1. well, she will probably be given bail... then, as a couple of cops, up north did, after being sentenced to death, for murder, and then granted bail... well, let's just say, gone with the wind.
  2. Bei g a wo.bat, I understand your comment, but can you say why. Thai pride festival uses the transgender term. Please explain your comment.
  3. Um... did you by chance read the article on the thai pride events, they use the trans word... if you know otherwise, please, let us know... we want to know where you get you "knowledge."
  4. Many thais work almost as slaves, well below 400 Baht/day, with no weekends, no annual leave, etc. Hasn't Thailand previously stated, years ago, they will review labour laws reforms.
  5. At 69, on age oension, in Australia your public hospital is free, so I don't understand your comment. In thailang you would pay close to $700/month for insurance.
  6. Just maybe, those speed limits aren't to annoy you, but to protect the public from you... I'm sure you like thailand, because of the almost no limitations... but hey, they do account for over 25,000 deaths, every year, and that's only those who die, on the road, not once put into an ambulance, or from injuries once in hospital.... but hey, I'm glad you are happy.
  7. We could also assume, know how thais drive, it could have been the fault of the bike rider.... but sometimes we assume too much, depending on our own prejudices.
  8. Ok, You invest in an unstable governments proposal... but even if you can lease for a fun 99 years, on the surface is ok, but you invest a lot of money, in land, and infrastructure, which you might hope to leave for your offspring... lease runs out, and being Thailand, guess what might happen.
  9. If you mean the white apartments, I believe that is a Thaksin abandoned project
  10. Thailand is all about show... to the Thai mind it gives them more legitimacy
  11. Nice photo angle... but hardly even similar
  12. here we go again.... is this an attempt to draw attention away from Thaksin...or the Red Bull dude, or any number of issues.
  13. Well, they you go, nothing illegal, because he denies it.
  14. Were you, by chance, in the Kathu area
  15. Reminds me of a job I had done, by a Thai "electrician," I had an outlet installed for the washing machine, this machine had a separated earth wire, connect to its chassis, I ask for it to be earthed... his idea of an "earth" screw it to the concrete pad, with a self tapping screw.
  16. I should ad, the Aussie pension, depending on exchange rates, is close to 50,000 baht per month, if I can survive in Oz, then I can survive in Thailand... I have previously lived, in Thailand, for 5 years, returned to Oz when my Thai wife passed away.
  17. I do not base my life on "ifs" if I did I wouldn't get our of bed.
  18. I didn't say only 40,000 baht, as my thai partner also works, self employed, her averaging 100,000/month
  19. Here we go... another health issue, to postpone any legal action.
  20. thank you, you have been very helpful
  21. That's what I thought is was, I visited that web site earlier
  22. " do you plan to start monthly transfers when you apply for the first extension," I will start monthly transfers ASAP, on arriving in Thailand.
  23. No, and I know I will get some guys giving me a hard time, because of it, but they should try living on a pension. Once converted to a Non O on Marriage, then my monthly pension will cover the requirements on a minimum of 40,000/month, so I will only need an agent for the Non O Retirement as a one off.
  24. Thanks for the info, and I will add, some info. Arrive on 60 days tourist, extend for 30, leave Thailand, re-enter for another 90 days, then convert to Non O retirement, then, after a total of 12 months, giving 12 months proof of income into a Thai bank, then convert to NonO on marriage.
