    my question is... what difference would a visa make, it's not as though a police check is done when you apply for one, when you arrive visa or not, you go through immigration, they know who you are, when you arrived... how will a visa stop the riff raff, stop overstayers, stop opening illegal business's etc

    No mention of any long term success,they openly sell and use drugs, and I suggest the added stress of military service doesn't help addiction, in fact could make it worse.

    I wasn't there, to hear the whole dispute, so I take the side of caution, here we have 2 parties which neither has English as a first language, any of us that have tried to understand Thais explaining things, even simple things, will understand the difficulties that arise, then we look at the culturally "excitable" Indians/Sri Lankans and we have a recipe for excitement.

    Makes no difference, as an Aussie we have a recognised successful multicultural country...so I guess, according to you, France, and Brussels, have their own issues to deal with... But I stand by my comment re racist.
