You aren't alone. I have been discussing it with mates and work colleagues, asking them to 'look into' going to Thailand and if they would be theoretically interested. So far a collective 'Pff, the hell with all that. Must be joking', when they see what is required. Thing is, this is what they will now associate with Thailand for evermore. They won't look into coming again.
