You sound as though you are really mature.

I find it difficult to have any sympathy for the debt collector.

Go to a repair shop and ask them to take it in to their workshop. Ours will come out and pick it up. When they tell you it will cost way more than you paid for the new one to fix it, just leave it there. They will dispose of it after a while, and strangely they don't get angry.

We have two staff. My wife gives them 300 baht each month on top of their pay. This is for SS. My wife says they are responsible for paying the money to the fund. I tend to see it that they use it to get drunk once a month.

Wow, better levy an entry tax on all foreigners to pay for it.....

How can Universal Healthcare be praised????? Remember Thaksin introduced it, so it must have been a terrible and corrupt idea>>>>

In the context of contemporary Thailand this law is a huge BS. Look we have whole families riding on motorcycles with none of the kids even wearing any helmets....yes they are wearing masks (yes go figure). People are poor and there are other simpler less costly ways to reduce road accidents.....for example why do I see all the shiny cop cars parked all day at the station? Send them out on the roadways to police moving violations for goodness' sake. Or how about this brainwave.....why not put some road signs up that clearly show who has right of way....and how about removing old road signs and lane markings that have changed? Look it ain't rocket science,
any cop handing out a 2K fine for not having a child seat wants firing.

Not all currencies can go down at the same time. This is not a time to speculate but to try to preserve the purchasing power off your money. The way to do this is to hold multiple major currencies, perhaps 7 or so,

One wonders what other aspects of Thai sovereignty will be demanded by our US friends.

How about making the increase conditional on boat owners upgrade the boats to some sort of minimal safe operating standard; ensure the skipper has a shipmaster's license; and have severe penalties for skippers who ignore safety procedures (I mean some years in jail).

I'm so stupid that I didn't realise that sticky rice with mango was soft power. That girl Milli did raise Thailand's soft power base. I still wonder how that 160 million (which his 4 x the peak year) fits in with the soft power plan.

More madness. Have you seen the scheme by Lam Ta Kong? Insanity squared.

Better be careful here. We don't need millions short of rice in Thailand.

What madness is this?

I can't imagine what a policeman here has to do to get sacked?
Has Dan Ducati been sacked?
No he got a slap on the wrist (suspended if I remember correctly)

What is the difference between being sacked and being let go? In my world this is the exact same thing.

I've never used any of these 'barcode' things. Does one need a special phone? I have two phones....an iPhone and a Samsung....I don't allow them to track my location, but I've read that they do anyway, as the phone 'logs on' to every tower that it comes near.
I'm planning a trip to Europe later this year and don't really want to be bothered with all these apps....what if I tell the immigration that I don't have a phone....or that I show them my old Nokia?

I thought Somkid did a decent job when he was in charge of the economy and finances. Seems sane compared to the rest of the political class.

What data does he have to suggest that the 'true' incidence is higher than the reported incidence?????

Last time I changed passport, I had 6 months. I renewed the passport in Liverpool UK where they have a 4 hour service for 110 quid in 2015.
I had to have my old visa put in the new passport, which needed a letter from the embassy here verifying that my passport was genuine. In the past 7 years or so it may well have changed.

Why does politics attract such scum?

Land Prices in Isaan

Personally, I think that if it is adjacent to family land, the family will end up farming and de facto owning it. You will never be able to sell it if it appreciates.
