  3. He's got all the attributes of a real jungle pea.
  4. Dumbest reply ever. Suggesting to run/go away instead of dealing with and resolving issues.
  5. Sterilize and/or put them down. Too many.
  6. What we need, it seems, is a real war. As a wake-up call, so to speak.
  7. A bit like the white man's settlement a few years ago - except that that involved murder, rape, expropriation and genocide. So, what is your problem, really?
  8. It shows the reaction of the two women. They got up and walked away. If the video is uncut and shows a historic and accurate time line, wouldn't you think the woman concerned would feel her back (where she was allegedly kicked), cry out in pain, remonstrate with the alleged perpetrator, and cause an argument? None of that. Both just walked away. One would assume the story was subsequently inflated and embellished with all sorts of different claims.
  9. Wow, thank you so much for the detailed info provided. I'll give it a go, it's a novel concept to me.
  10. Would it be possible to name this prepared meal delivery service, please? Are we talking GRAB etc and ordering from some food outlet, or is it a separate proper kitchen offering a service based on a -set- menu? Can you point me in the proper direction?
  11. Sure. It might be gone in a flash as part of someone's cleaning / rubbish removal tasks. That's the obvious and easiest option. I was thinking more along the lines of fixing, using (some of the stuff remains in working order), but who has any need for a fax these days? In that sense retrieval of any parts or materials would be preferential.
  12. Thanks for your feedback. I will chase up both options.
  13. Any suggestions how to dispose of the above items in a meaningful way? Any repair places interested in disassembly to retrieve parts or materials? I am a condo resident, so am reluctant to just leave stuff on or near the rubbish bins, but maybe that is the only option.
  14. Sounds good to me. Keep it that way.
  15. "Qualified people"? Any DIYer from about age eight, can use a spirit level. And no, I didn't give the "qualified" person a questionnaire in advance of his employ to ascertain his / her skills. Next time. Thanks for the question. Answer: a <deleted>hole. Thanks for the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of languages. Anything else I can help you with?
  16. Omg, 1st of April came around fast. More like the hub of leisure with an almost regular calendar of 4-day weeks. Had a tradesman visit yesterday, didn't know how to use a spirit level. I have yet to see a condo or house - old or brand new - which doesn't have a myriad of construction and design defects. And don't start me with the footpaths ........ Hub of technology? I rest my case.
  17. It's not the government's job to nanny failing individual businesses.
  18. Follow the tour buses: parked by the dozen on Jomtien Second Road at all those mass-feeding buffet places. Big open-air sheds, 200+ tables. Packed out. That's the Chinese. Apart from that, the market should sort it out. Those with a solid business plan and a decent location will survive. Why these so-called business associations always cry for help from the government is beyond me. When the going is good, have these associations ever volunteered a higher tax or revenue contribution to government coffers? Never. But suddenly their sector's financial problems are supposed to be off-loaded onto the broader community via tax relief or subsidies or crude handouts. Ridiculous!
  19. I clicked on it in anticipation of a great comments section. Never disappointed. Thank you.
  20. Travelled on THAISmile twice last year and they were good. No complaints. Sadly now defunct and absorbed back into the clutches of the mothership. For international I would not even consider THAI, not on my radar, too many superior carriers to choose from.
  21. What an ignorant comment. All we know is that the article mentions him to be a lawyer. You should know better what to believe as to the accuracy in articles in Thai media, especially the nlost-in-translation bit. Maybe this person is a friend fo the Russian driver, is liaising between the driver and the police, but certainly not acting in an official capacity as a lawyer. You know nothing but feel compelled to spout such an outright stupid comment based on what you've read. You should know better. You should be sued for defamation for calling the person 'fake' and associate and idntify him with the 'mob'.
  22. No mechanical issues these days with cars. Either incompetent driving, or, more likely, mobile phone use when the light had already turned green and she hadn't moved. In general, Thais might be able to move a car, but certainly not drive a car. The evidence is there to see every day, also look at how locals obtain driving licences. So maybe, just maybe, the Russian had a point. That does not excuse his conduct , though. A 'little beep on the horn' is the worst suggestion you could make as it might really provoke a Thai driver. Honking is not appreciated in TH.
  23. It especially applies to TH. You have a problem with the opinion stated, most likely based on experience, observation and conduct by any gold diggers in that specific country?
