Myanmar Junta Seeks China’s Help as Power Crisis Worsens
Burma Bill replied to geovalin's topic in Myanmar News
sadly there will be no US bases in Burma. The Chinese are already established in the country with security officers" protecting Chinese business interests. Reference Google - n Myanmar, Chinese private security companies (PSCs) are increasingly operating to protect Chinese interests, particularly infrastructure projects and personnel related to the Belt and Road Initiative. This involves providing security services such as manned guarding, risk assessments, and crisis management, though they generally avoid direct combat roles. These companies are often staffed by former Chinese military and police personnel and are subject to a new law in Myanmar that allows them to operate more broadly, including for public events involving Chinese citizens or equipment. -

Burma Bill replied to SABloke's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is what I do, apply for TDAC on my home computer however, I then print the pdf file that is sent with the confirmation and present the form with my passport at Immigration control. The form is always handed back to me once scrutinised. I do not have a smartphone. -

Burma Bill replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Nothing like Angkor Wat and its surrounds (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the World's largest religious structure. Ref. Google Yes, Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world. It's a temple complex in Cambodia, covering an area of 162.6 hectares (1,626,000 square meters, or 402 acres). It is renowned for its Khmer architecture and intricate design. Is this hideous Thai version constructed with LEGO bricks? - looks like it. Recent photo taken by me of West Entrance across the moat, surrounding woodland and lawns. Report Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers: Tests Now Mandatory
Burma Bill replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Will the exam form be printed in Thai or in a foreign language the applicant can understand such as English, Chinese, Russian, Indian, Malay etc.? Many years ago when I got my first Thai Driving License, I did not take the written test as it was only printed in Thai and I did not understand it. It was waived but I had to take the practical tests. I still have my Thai Driving License which, although expired, makes a good ID card here in Cambodia. -

The pot smokers themselves when they get high on alcohol and marijuana? -
I had such an experience in MAKRO in Siem Reap. There was a promotion on eggs - buy one box of 10 eggs and get another free. So I took two boxes. At the checkout, the young lady took one box away leaving me with just one. After a discussion and payment, I was directed to a customer service desk where I was given the free box! Probably older stock than those I originally chose.
