  1. This border crossing, along with all other land crossings into Cambodia from Thailand , IS CLOSED. Currently, no problems flying into Cambodia (Siem Reap and Phnom Penh) from Bangkok BKK and DMK.
  2. Well I never! From the photo most appear to be wearing YELLOW shirts (the pro-military, pro-monarchy and anti democracy brigade). No migrants left to do the dirty work?
  3. Very much so before you start accusing Cambodia of aiding scammers!
  4. Oh really! From recent Thai media reports I thought Thailand was in a new Covid pandemic, especially in Bangkok. Reference: (04/06/2025 Covid-19 cases surge in Thailand, over 28,000 new cases in two days https://www.nationthailand.com/news/general/40050793
  5. sadly there will be no US bases in Burma. The Chinese are already established in the country with security officers" protecting Chinese business interests. Reference Google - n Myanmar, Chinese private security companies (PSCs) are increasingly operating to protect Chinese interests, particularly infrastructure projects and personnel related to the Belt and Road Initiative. This involves providing security services such as manned guarding, risk assessments, and crisis management, though they generally avoid direct combat roles. These companies are often staffed by former Chinese military and police personnel and are subject to a new law in Myanmar that allows them to operate more broadly, including for public events involving Chinese citizens or equipment.
  6. This old dinosaur should keep his mouth shut, he may end up in the Mekong!
  7. Oh how I wish someone would torch Junta Military HQ in Naypitaw! Is there a spare drone that could be donated to the resistance fighters?
  8. That is what I do, apply for TDAC on my home computer however, I then print the pdf file that is sent with the confirmation and present the form with my passport at Immigration control. The form is always handed back to me once scrutinised. I do not have a smartphone.
  9. Nothing like Angkor Wat and its surrounds (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the World's largest religious structure. Ref. Google Yes, Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world. It's a temple complex in Cambodia, covering an area of 162.6 hectares (1,626,000 square meters, or 402 acres). It is renowned for its Khmer architecture and intricate design. Is this hideous Thai version constructed with LEGO bricks? - looks like it. Recent photo taken by me of West Entrance across the moat, surrounding woodland and lawns. I was on a visit using my annual FREE pass.
  10. No way! The choice of Pattaya (or Bangkok) would DEFINITELY exclude me!
  11. A disgraceful action by a desperate genocidal Junta trying to stay in power!
  12. Oh really! Most people in the photo appear to be wearing orange vests!!
  13. Cross the Border soon into friendly Cambodia before there is a Border War!
  14. Will SRT commence building crossings at stations where passenger safety could be compromised? Picture taken of passengers alighting at Ayutthaya Railway Station.
  15. I wonder how soon Pattaya's Walking Street will look like this?
  16. That is correct. For reference (google) Any person who intentionally violates the provisions of this Law and regulations related to the export, import, international transportation of drugs which result in serious dangers, shall be punished 10 to 20 years imprisonment and with a fine penalty in cash of from 10,000,000 (ten million) riels to 50,000,000 (fifty ... (4,000 riels = 1$)
  17. The Khmer folk look like tourists to me. The trouble maker is the Thai Military which has already killed a Cambodian soldier! Shame on you Thailand.
  18. Will the exam form be printed in Thai or in a foreign language the applicant can understand such as English, Chinese, Russian, Indian, Malay etc.? Many years ago when I got my first Thai Driving License, I did not take the written test as it was only printed in Thai and I did not understand it. It was waived but I had to take the practical tests. I still have my Thai Driving License which, although expired, makes a good ID card here in Cambodia.
  19. From the original article:- In a commendable act of responsibility, the Bolt driver did not flee the scene and instead remained present, visibly shaken but cooperative. IMO he was sober. Many Thai drivers, if inebriated, would have done a runner!
  20. The pot smokers themselves when they get high on alcohol and marijuana?
  21. Yes indeed, but the motorbikes are confiscated and only returned when proper exhausts have been fitted by the owners, supervised by the police. No proper exhaust, the bike remains in police possession.
  22. I had such an experience in MAKRO in Siem Reap. There was a promotion on eggs - buy one box of 10 eggs and get another free. So I took two boxes. At the checkout, the young lady took one box away leaving me with just one. After a discussion and payment, I was directed to a customer service desk where I was given the free box! Probably older stock than those I originally chose.
  23. Very much so - into the Mekong! Ref. Google. The Kok River originates in Myanmar and then enters Thailand, where it travels through Chiang Rai and eventually merges with the Mekong.
