Thai Public Advised Against Sharing Anti-Cambodia Videos
Burma Bill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Now living in Cambodia, I can understand this country's concerns about land grabbing by Thailand. When one uses the lesser known border crossing between Choam (Anlong Veng District, Cambodia) and Sangam (Sisaket Province, Thailand), having completed formalities at the respective immigration offices, and when travelling onwards into Thailand, within a couple or so kilometres you are stopped again at a checkpoint manned by the Thai Military. Photos are taken of you and your vehicle, along with passport inspections. This military checkpoint, according to my Khmer host, was the original border crossing and the land back to the current checkpoints was annexed by Thailand during the Cambodian Conflict 1979 - 1998. Choam - Sangam Border Crossing - no large buildings, mostly ground floor huts. -

Good advice. Go and visit your local diabetic clinic in the Government Hospital. I have been an insulin dependent Type 2 diabetic for 31 years and during my 20 years in Thailand I visited my local Government hospital in Chumphae every month for checks, tests and medication (including insulin). The Diabetic Clinic also did the comprehensive annual blood test which included kidney and liver function. It was an excellent service, apart from the time taken queuing to see the doctor. I now live in Cambodia but no problems, as there are many private clinics that deal with diabetes. My local pharmacist provides all my medication, including over the counter insulin (no prescription). Another local blood testing clinic performs my annual comprehensive blood test.

Exorbitant payment processing fees for AirAsia flights
Burma Bill replied to omnipresent's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Booking Air Asia with Airpaz commenced post Covid. It is NOT the official Air Asia booking site despite looking very similar in eye catching red! I was almost fooled once when trying to book a "Fly-thru" ticket from Siem Reap to Chiang Mai. There were complications and I realised I was not in the official Air Asia website. Scroll down until you see the correct site. Airpaz is a travel agency booking flights, hotels, tours etc. throughout South East Asia. For reference:- https://www.airpaz.com/en/about -

For reference October 11th 2021 Yesterday (October 9th), the Bali Hai Construction Company on behalf of the Bali Hai Company Limited, which has previously claimed to be bankrupt due to all the lawsuits surrounding the building, has officially filed a request for re-construction permission from the Pattaya City despite the demolition order, https://thailand-construction.com/owners-of-the-controversial-waterfront-condo-on-pattayas-bali-hai-pier-ask-for-an-opportunity-to-resume-construction-vs-demolish-the-building/ October 9th 2023 Itthipol disembarked his flight from Phnom Penh at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 10am and was immediately taken into custody by immigration police. The former minister is wanted for corruption in construction of the Waterfront Suites and Residences in Pattaya in September 2008........... Itthipol was culture minister in the second cabinet of former prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and is also the younger brother of former Pattaya mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem.
