  1. Maybe the man had a throat infection and went for medication to stop his coughing?
  2. This is a rare combination - for reference Google: Less than 2% of the population have B negative blood. B negative red blood cells can be given to both B and AB patients. B negative patients can only receive blood from other B negative donors or from type O negative donors (who are the universal donors).
  3. Amazing - not even small tree branches as a warning!!!
  4. For reference from today's Khmer media (10 April 2023):- Interestingly Cambodia was not included so I assume the country does not contribute to Thailand's air pollution. Thailand on Friday called for efforts to create constructive and concrete approaches to tackle the region’s transboundary haze problem. This came as Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha hosted an online trilateral meeting Friday with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and Myanmar Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing https://www.khmertimeskh.com/501270363/thailand-seeks-regional-cooperation-to-tackle-haze-problem/
  5. With respect, a matter of choice. I personally like them with their distinct flavour. Very popular here in Siem Reap with packets rapidly disappearing off supermarket shelves as soon as re-stocking occurs. I usually purchase 4 Family sized packs at a time.
  6. For reference and one example only: YAMATOKU ROASTED SLICED SEAWEED 30G
  7. My apologies, I did not see the small faint print at the top of the page.
  8. With respect, not strictly true. Before the latest coup with its trade sanctions, oil, gas, gemstones and wood (teak in particular) were exported to the West. Norway's Telenor company played a major role in telecommunicatios but pulled out in 2018 when the latest junta made unacceptable demands. Telenor owned DTAC in Thailand and is now involved with TRUE in the recent merger.
  9. Well done Mister Chuwit - keep at it!! For reference here in Cambodia (7th April 2023) where the growing, sale and use of marijuana is illegal:- ..................a massive haul of over 1,200 marijuana plants. Anti-Drug and Criminal Forces in cooperation with the Treng Administrative Police Force of Rattanak Mondul District Police Inspectorate cracked down on the illegal marijuana plantation and arrested a suspect. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/501269870/green-day-1200-marijuana-plants-seized-by-police/
  10. With respect, certainly not during my 5 years in Khon Kaen Province. All my ex-pat friends and myself had money and were not skint. As for farm girls, the ex-pats either had wives/girlfriends who they had met in Pattaya - bar girls! No sadness during my time, much entertainment and enjoyment.
  11. Ideal for me - I lived in Phu Wiang (about 45 km from Khon Kaen) after moving across from Lanna. Personal choice and very enjoyable scenery, especially around Ubonrat with its extensive lake (reservoir), dam and other attractions There is a lakeside resort named "Pattaya 2" but not for beach bum pundits with their favourite bar stool! For me, Khon Kaen was great for shopping and being a Tourist Police Volunteer based in the city. Photo - Pattaya 2 (will be packed for Songkran):-
  12. UK Bingo call "22 two little ducks" - quack, quack Mister Prayut, I wonder who will ruffle your feathers??
  13. My word, a heck of a journey. 1,438 km via route 2 (the most direct) - a return journey of 2,876 km!! Is this a daily service?? I hope the buses are regularly checked and serviced - especially the tyres!!
  14. A very interesting project involving Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, but with the greatest respect shouldn't it be named "The Lanna Project"??
  15. The GLO may no longer pay winners in cash, but what about all the gold shops, especially out in the sticks, which, I am sure, will still pay winners in cash. My local gold shop always paid me in cash - for a small fee! So forget "cashless societies" outside Bangkok in country bumpkin land.
  16. ............................... no speculation from me!
  17. Helicopters to drop water to stop flames from reaching the controversial "hi so" residential estate of the local Thai Judiciary adjacent to this National Park?????
  18. With the greatest respect - why should they be wearing masks? I am sure most of the tourists now arriving in Thailand do not wear masks (as here in Cambodia).
  19. So, unfair Thai protectionism in the cinema industry as well. If cinema goers would boycott screenings for just a week, I'm sure the "big 2" would change their minds!
  20. Thank you - you are correct. I was misinformed so I checked with the UK Government website. My apologies.
