Yes indeed, quite remarkable, as can be seen in the video (taken by a SRT Security camera). The video was posted on my Facebook page here in Cambodia. I have been unable to post it on AN, however if you search for blogger "Max Puttipong" (a Thai railway photographer) a search his posts will reveal the video which shows a very brave station signalman.

Mary Ann or perhaps even Harold?? Mary Ann Cotton, née Mary Ann Robson, also known as Mary Ann Mowbray, Mary Ann Ward, and Mary Ann Robinson, (born October 31?, 1832, Low Moorsley, Durham county, England—died March 24, 1873, Durham county), British nurse and housekeeper who was believed to be Britain’s most prolific female serial killer. She allegedly poisoned up to 21 people before being executed in 1873. (She used Arsenic). Mary Ann was widely regarded as the country’s deadlist killer until Harold Shipman, who was thought to have murdered as many as 260 people in the late 20th century. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Mary-Ann-Cotton -
Whilst across the border (for reference); AirAsia, one of the leading airlines in the region, has confirmed the opening of a branch in Cambodia in early 2023, naming it AirAsia Cambodia, it’s fifth branch in the ASEAN region – and claims it will bring 3-4 million tourists to Cambodia per year. Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A (changed from AirAsia Group), said that his company was in the process of establishing a branch in Cambodia under the name AirAsia Cambodia. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/501199749/airasia-confirms-opening-of-airasia-cambodia/

Referring to your plan, I see you intend using route 201 via Chaiyaphum to Loei. Chaiyaphum is a busy provincial city and can be avoided by a ring road. Follow signs 201 LOEI. Eventually after a pleasant rural drive you will enter Chumphae and join Highway 12. Continue westwards on HWY 12 to Lomsak. This will take you through the vast and spectacular Nam Nao National Park. HWY 12 becomes an ordinary 2-lane road through the park but it is well surfaced. Make sure you have plenty of fuel in your tank as there are no petrol/gasoline stations for 100 kilometres after Chumphae.

For reference:- The possible medical benefits of circumcision include: A lower risk of HIV A slightly lower risk of other sexually transmitted diseases A slightly lower risk of urinary tract infections and penile cancer. However, these are both rare in all males. https://medlineplus.gov/circumcision.html#:~:text=The possible medical benefits of,tract infections and penile cancer I was "cut" 78 years ago and not for religious beliefs. I am Church of England.

Capital punishment (Death Penalty) still operates in Thailand. Just the other day, the primary school teacher who shot dead innocent civilians in a gold shop robbery, had his appeal for clemency rejected and now faces the death sentence.(AN). IMO this lady should receive the death penalty. For reference, the 2 Burmese lads who were sentenced to death for the Koh Tao murders were given a Royal Pardon and now face life sentences. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/aug/15/thai-king-commutes-myanmar-mens-death-sentence-over-britons

I was and "yes" his face was plastered everywhere, especially around Lanna where I lived. When elected, he brought prosperity, investment and infrastructure modernisation to the North - IMO a great PM! His company at that time, AIS, was the first to provide access to the internet for almost all the local population, even in the valleys among the hills and mountains! I can still remember the first AIS mobile phone tower being erected in our village linked to the transmitting system of masts from Lampang. TRUE did not exist and DTAC was limited to the cities. Thank you Mister T. May I respectfully ask if you were resident in the North and witnessed the changes during his tenure as PM?

Oh really - wishful thinking? So when will the completion date be (all three phases) 2040/2050?? Line length 253 km (157 mi) (Phase 1) 356 km (221 mi) (Phase 2) 16 km (9.9 mi) (Phase 3) Phase 1 - Bangkok to Korat Phase 2 - Korat to Nong Khai Phase 3 - Nong Khai via new bridge over the Mekong to link with HST in Vientiane. Other interesting references: China will operate and maintain the system for the first three years of operation. Both countries will share responsibility from the third to seventh years. Afterwards, Thailand will have sole responsibility, and China will advise. China will provide training for operations and maintenance As of Q4 2022, the "first phase between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima is [...] behind schedule"; furthermore, it's "15% completed when it should have been 37%"; the Phase 1 line was[8][9] due to be completed in 2026 - however, media says that the main contract will have to be extended. In 2017, the spur line between Kaeng Khoi and Map Ta Phut (Industrial Estate in Rayong) has been scrapped due to the reason that two countries are unable to reach a loan agreement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangkok–Nong_Khai_high-speed_railway
