  1. Why not - I always do, but not an expensive one! (before anyone says "look at your smartphone" - I do not have one)
  2. Yes indeed. As a long term ("air miles") customer with Air Asia, and as suggested above, you can book a Premium (Red) seat in the front of the cabin with the airline. Red seats provide much more legroom and priority when boarding commences, also the overhead lockers are empty. You will also be among the first passengers to exit the plane on landing. As a valued customer, I am often upgraded to a red seat at no extra charge when on a "fly-thru" flight.
  3. Now we know why the 1,000 baht exit fee - from all those rushing to exit Thailand should there be trouble (like another coup)??
  4. From link to OP:_ He urged the expressway project contractor to be more responsible in ensuring safety for drivers and commuters travelling on Rama II Road. For reference from The Nation 8 May 2023:- ......the project contractor, CBT Consortium, will be responsible for compensating the deceased and injured workers, as well as the owners of the damaged vehicles. The consortium comprises China Harbour Engineering Limited, Buriram Thongchai Construction Ltd, and Tipakorn Ltd. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/general/40027365
  5. yes, this has been pointed out to me by an AN moderator. It was my error.
  6. Thank you and my apologies. I have no complaint, just praise.
  7. With respect, completely oblivious to any traffic coming from the right???
  8. Now the possibility of decent bacon with breakfast instead of the awful Thai "streaky" stuff????
  9. Thank you Asean Now for using the words "Burmese girls" rather than "girls from Myanmar". Myanmar was a renaming by one of the earlier corrupt and evil Juntas in 1989. The official English name was changed by the country's government from the "Union of Burma" to the "Union of Myanmar" in 1989, and still later to the "Republic of the Union of Myanmar". Since then, those name changes have been the subject of controversies and mixed incidences of adoption.(Google)
  10. Great news and common sense at last. No doubt there will still be those in Thailand, including some ex-pats, that will continue to spread scare-mongering and paranoia among the population - just follow AN!!!!
  11. Same here across the border in Cambodia.
  12. Possibly migrant workers rather than Thai - Burmese, Laos?
  13. Offering special promotion tickets of just one rupee??
  14. Well goodness gracious me!!
  15. With the greatest respect, not with me. I always pay my hotel bill in cash when I check-in. I do not have a credit card.
  16. Oh dear - been on the scotch again!
  17. Zero dollar Chinese tourists using Chinese Triad owned hotels, bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, tour buses etc. in Thailand??
  18. With respect to the doctor, an assumption rather than fact?? (could be/are). As I do not live in Thailand, I will refrain from further comment. Good luck with your Covid campaign.
  19. With respect, and as I have stated elsewhere in this post, out of a population of 71.6 million people???
  20. For reference: The South East Asian Games have started with football matches in Phnom Penh. For those of you "mask wearing" advocates, please note part of the capacity crowd of 50,000 for the opening match 3 days ago between Cambodia and Timor-Leste - a mask very difficult to spot! Thailand is participating. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/501281661/sea-games-mens-u-22-football-cambodia-wins-4-0-against-timor-leste/
