  1. Interesting, but can Thailand Post guarantee freshness of the fruit so one does not receive a parcel of stale/mouldy fruit?? Perhaps TP will use refrigerated trucks.
  2. So, a Chinese style Firewall to be introduced to monitor Thai social media in particular?? Take care folks!
  3. Couldn't the tourists have had an "oily massage" in the sea????
  4. Maybe got the wrong countries: A court in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has handed prison terms to eight people involved in a kidney trading ring that sent 37 Vietnamese to Cambodia as organ donors. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/501262035/vietnamese-court-jails-eight-for-sending-37-of-their-nationals-to-cambodia-to-sell-their-kidneys/
  5. Assisted by the Military and pro-establishment judiciary????
  6. None of these 20 baht notes but how about these I acquired through Bangkok Bank during my retirement in Thailand. They are not old but were issued in presentation packs by the Bank of Thailand. First, issued on 5th December 2007 to commemorate the 80th Birthday of the Late King. 1, 5 and 10 baht notes on an uncut sheet: Second, issued on 5th December 2011 to commemorate the Late King's 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary. A single 100 baht note (which I never saw in general circulation): These are among my collection of coins, banknotes and stamps which now reside in Cambodia.
  7. Because no further visitors to the park??? TAT with your farcical "Safe & Trusted Thailand" slogan - take note! This incident has gone world-wide, not only the video but the "full" story in International media outlets after the victim had departed Thailand. No cover-ups this time!
  8. Yes indeed - "pungent air pollution"!!
  9. Second name "Peter" by any chance with a wife called "Wendy"????
  10. With respect, it is a matter of personal choice. I would never, ever live in Bangkok with its concrete jungle. I was born in the UK Oxfordshire countryside and cities like London and Birmingham were not my scene. So, when I lived in Thailand for 20 years, the country bumpkin land of Lanna and Isaan were my choice, both being very friendly and scenic. I only visited Bangkok for the British Embassy/Passport Office or flying out from DMK or BKK.
  11. Aren't coins cash??? I presume the person had no paper money.
  12. Visiting Pattaya for booze, drugs and "leg-overs"????
  13. With respect, not at all. For reference from international media:- "The investigation dates back to last year, when US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Secret Service agents informed Thai police that Indian cyber criminals and Thai nationals had set up a phone scam network to trick elderly people in US into transferring money to them.............................The fraudsters, pretending to be US law-enforcement officials, preyed on the fear of their victims by telling them that they were being investigated for alleged money laundering. The callers then demanded that they transfer money into their “mule” accounts if they wanted to have the cases settled without further litigation..........................................................In some cases the victims were sent links containing viruses, which allowed the scammers to take control of their devices......................................................the gang used Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), the United Arab Emirates, Peru and Poland as bases to receive money transfers" Full story:- https://en.vietnamplus.vn/thailand-arrests-phone-scam-gang-targeting-elderly-americans/250318.vnp
  14. Yuck!!!! However, Bats are used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat a series of illness, including coughing, Malaria and Gonorrhea. If I was offered a bat in this restaurant, I would be "gonoorr - from - hea"!!
  15. Thanks, my thought as well. Restocking of village market stalls in "contry bumpkin" land.
  16. Well I never! I thought Covid-19, malaria, dengue fever, atomic radiation, rabies and STD's etc. would be of greater interest than motorbike accidents. Unless riding a motorbike can be classified as a disease!!
  17. That is all what Thailand cares about - the money grabbing bar stewards!! No proper Health & Safety, tourists being robbed, scams, dual pricing, road accidents etc. etc. And now the possibility of radioactive contamination!!
  18. Like keeping ex-pats 400,000/800,000 Baht in accounts for 6 months with the help of the Thai Government??
  19. Well done Yingluck and the Pheu Thai Party!! I bet the pro-military and establishment parties would not have done this.
  20. Thailand's equivalent to the "Bermuda Triangle"???
  21. I've heard of a Monkey Wrench but not a Monkey Punch!
