I suspect the taxi runs on LPG or CNG gas, I've seen mini buses here that make all passengers get out (i was going to say alight but resisted the pun) while re-fueling. -

Yes I know that route duel carriageway runs parallel to highway 3 is/has been extended, to Map ta phut still some new overpasses under construction but only one set of lights, completely missing ban chang center, no need to go back up to H3.

1,000b ! you can still find accommodation here on the beach 600bht no free breakfast, but hot shower. across the road from beach 500b. My daughter just came to visit and stayed 'on the beach' at white sand, 600b a night but i got locals discount off that!

I think that is wrong info. if you have your home country license no need for computer test. IDP has no influence on that.

First yes get an international driving permit you can not get a Thai license until you have a one year visa/extension and you will need a letter of residence, from immigration. you can get the medical from any government hospital and some of the clinics. No computer test needed. just reaction, color test, sight test.

As my house has a good RCD as a quick 'Temporary' fix i rapped some ally foil around it, that was about 5 yrs ago. i have never got around replacing it.

Been living on KC for nearly 20yrs but i remember my first visit, 27yrs ago no electric, bamboo huts right on the beach, at check in, given the key and an oil lamp, communal toilets and showers, grass was sold by the old lady at reception. But Rooster you didn't mention that the smog is also covering the island, can barely see the horizon this week.

What a pleb trying to divert the main cause, this is about burning off crops/fires. can't even see the horizon on Koh Chang, my wife is coughing her nose irritated, but she has to go to work in her open shop.
