  1. 9 in a pick up, what could possibly go wrong ? back to you RTP for the answer.
  2. Sounds like a Diesel fuel leak onto the hot engine to me. I have seen this on the rubber 'spill' pipes that link across all the injectors, oh and that was a school bus in OZ, it didn't catch fire but could have easily have done.
  3. As I said must have one foot on the crossing.
  4. Oh don't worry they have plenty of ways to 'Earn' more already.
  5. As I said None here, come down the 'mountain' into White Sand and right around a blind bend is a crossing no warning signs whatsoever. It's the resort guard's in their reflective vest (if they have one on that day) that will hold up their hand to stop or wave you through.
  6. Is Jaywalking even a crime here ?
  7. How are they going to get the cops to do their job ? It seems the only way here to get any attention is to make vid it and put it on Facebook, then the cops may have a crackdown for a day or two, then back to 'normal'.
  8. As I said in a previous post how would one be legally responsible for hitting a pedestrian 'on a crossing' if there are no warning signs, like on Koh Chang where there are none on the whole Island. Makes me also wonder if any budget for them has been allocated, but 'gone elsewhere' like fallen into a deep pocket.
  9. Those LBs are an unpredictable animal species, you could end up with a stiletto in the back of your head and set upon by a whole gaggle of them, just for refusing their advances, as happens here.
  10. I'm so glad I live nowhere near Pooket.
  11. I think they do understand most laws, but they know the RTP don't do their job, so carry on regardless, Thais do not like being told what to do, each individual thinks they know better than anyone else, and the fines here are pathetic, a huge % of the population have illigal weapons/guns. Same with any crime here plead guilty and get a 50% discount on any jail time, so that's just 10 years for murder minus time off for good behavior. The whole law system is just BS. IMO
  12. You must have gone to a School, the LTO NEVER go on a real road even with a car.
  13. They must have one foot on the crossing legally, not just standing there. but most would stop.
  14. The UK law for a vehicle to stop is one foot on the crossing and wait for traffic to stop.
  15. I was wondering what would be the 'Legal' standpoint here on Koh Chang would be, where not one crossing on the whole island has a sign to say there is a crossing, just some faded white paint barely visible, especially in the rain.
  16. I Was talking of the Thai driving test at the LTO, they don't even go on the road, only a driving school will take you on the road, NOT the at the Land Transport Office. Seem you don't know how the 'tests' are done here.
  17. So it was a taxi that hit the pedestrian not the driver.
  18. Do they have a pedestrian crossing, on the Thai driving test where they have to stop ? Rhetorical question I think.
  19. My local Ma & Pa shop will deliver 4 beers or more at no extra charge and still only 60b for a large Leo.
  20. Grass fed until the are put into a feeding lot. I worked on a cattle station in OZ.
  21. Hard to tell without a photo, 'A buoy rope' ? what is that even ? The locals where I am put a rope across the Klong the same reason chickens cross the road, to get to the other side, especially if its fast flowing. Could have a net attached ??
