I have tried the search function for I remember a discussion on Prostate and surgery in the past but no result.
I have had an enlarged prostate gland since my mid 40s.
Speaking to my lady Dr on Wednesday she mentioned that she understood that a surgical procedure the was used at the MacCain hospital.
I have been longing to try the Steam reduction method since I spoke to 2 UK citizens who had had the procedure in UK. A day inpatient procedure, go in sit in a sort of dentist chair Dr dos the job and leave a couple of hrs later.
I went to MacCain and asked no TURP only and on my way home I had a interview at Siripat with a Urologist and same result TURP only. He said he believed that no hospital in CM did the Steam method.
Does anyone have any more info, Bangkok Hospital has been suggest.

Small thread hijacking ???? but do you think they can hard reset a Ipad, after being completely locked out without ID or Password remembered (Kids Ipad, nothing inside).
No idea, but imagine so.
I can do a Hard Reset on my iPad by pressing the OFF button and the Increase Volume button together. Hold down until screen goes blank then the Apple sign appears and Hard Reset is carried out.
On the previous model it was press off button and the ON button (located on the bottom) together.

I have used iCare in airport Plaza twice, second time very helpful.

Me too i got caught on a Yellow light, B500 fine, Maya intersection.
I'm British and memory says that Brit Highway code says Amber (Yellow) is STOP unless it is not safe to do so.
Green is not go but you may proceed if safe to do so.
And Red is STOP, end of that story.
Rules of the road in Thailand are based on UK Highway Code.
Agree with Aussie Bruce.

Thank you Woodworker, In my opinion it is a Youtube problem. I like to watch the vids and every time I open up there seems to be a change in number and style of vids offered.
I am OK on the memory front so not a iPad problem apart from the update.

Thanks Woodworker, I normal use the Home setting and before I got about 150 vids on offer. Just checked now and 70 vids on offer.
I will suggest that Youtube is not consistent on the iPad.
Cannot offer a reply to 2 in1 as I have always uploaded for my Macbook, iPhone and iPad in Thailand.
Thanks always interested in other folks views and opinions.

I installed IOS 14 on my iPad Pro and now find that on my Youtube application I only have 50 immediate choices offered compared with what I will suggest was about 150 choices.
I can get around 150 if I open Youtube on Google Chrome or in Safari.
Any ideas from iPad users.

I live in Chiang mai.
I have a will in UK for my UK assets.
I have a will made in CM for my Thai assets.
I made use of a local Visa agent. My Thai will is lodged at the local Ampure in accordance with Thai rules. Two of the solicitors who made out my will accompanied me to the Ampure to lodge my will in accordance with the Ampure officials instructions.

My 11 inch iPad Pro new in Jan this year stopped charging. It stuck at 30% and would not increase with the charger connected. I obtained new cable and charger from a local shop, no improvement.
I was ready to take down the i Center to ask them check for either faulty battery or input connection.
Then I read a post in this thread and carried out a Hard Reset.
Problem solved now charging as it should.

I have just watch 2 episodes of a UK TV series which I have had connection problems with in the say 16.00 hrs mid to late afternoon early evening.
No hesitation, as near as perfect as I could hope for so I am now convinced that it is when the many students return and overload my Si net connection.
Thanks to the people who made serious helpful comments I will now look at either changing or seeing if I can sign up to an upgrade download.
3BB looks good I know they supply to my condo.

There was little in the way of internet when my Condo was built.
There are several internet providers who advertise their services in the lobby of my place and as I said I no longer know any of the young folk who i could have a chat with I am just looking for recommendations which I can then chase up.

Please be so kind to tell me what service you use.

I live in a condo near to CM uni. Late afternoon I prefer to watch TV series and films via my set top box.
Over the months I have found that connectivity decreases as the day moves on and depending on what I am watching some programs channels become unworkable.
The spinning wheel becomes more and more prominent and downloads soon becomes impractical.
I an no expert on the net but I will suggest my problem is that mid afternoon onwards more folk, uni students of which the majority of people in my condo are, gradually come onto the net there bye taking up the bandwidth provided by the service provider.
I am now on Si net, ADSL, 100 Mbps download, 40 Mbps upload and normally this is good, morning to mid afternoon, after which it starts to deteriorate.
Does anyone know if there is an internet service that is non ADSL.
Several others are advertised in my condo but all are ADSL.
With the yearly movements of students I no longer know my neighbours so cannot ask there.

Back in 88 I paid B50,000 to take my wife to court in BKK, that included lawyers fee.
If you institute a Court case you have to pay for the hire of court.
A friend in CM has started cases and cost has been B20-B30K for court costs.

White people no longer allowed to pray to Buddha with Thais!!!!!
I posted the photo of the sign at Wat Pho that said “Only Thai People” on my Facebook page. I just noticed that it has now been seen by 165,432 people from arou
From Richard Barrow.
White people no longer allowed to travel on buses with Thais.
If you think its for tourists only I suggest you rock up and explain you live here and see how far you get.
How much more do you have to be discriminated against before you would say enough is enough and leave?
Surely the question is Why are you still here doing your worst to upset annoy the contented Frang who has no real problems with our Thai hosts ?

"I haven't to my knowledge had it and nobody I know has had it. Among all my friends and family. nobody knows of anyone who has tested positive for Covid 19, or anyone who has been hospitalised with the virus. Any TVF Members can share info on their circle of friends and family? "
Up to last week I also used to say that I knew nobody and neither did anyone I know, know anyone who had C19 here in CM or Thailand.
However last week i was informed by a reliable source that a frang customer at his restaurant had caught the infection.

I did mine in CM, due 11th July. I use a Visa Agent, at my age well worth letting someone else do the heavy lifting.
I spent 5 mins with the Immigration Official seemed a pure civilian, much different from years back when you had to see a Police Major.

I have just returned from Siripat Medical Center.
I saw Dr Preeyanuch Khunsongkiet who checked my eyes, nice lady with good bedside manner. Her advice is that although my eyes are degrading due to Cataracts in her opinion I should first go see my optician and try new glasses and if not happy return see her and she will do surgery.
I was very impressed by Medical side of Siripat and have no complains in that direction.
Being polite I think I would have had a more pleasant time at RAM, though I have no doubt that it would have been far more expensive than the B500 I was charged at Siripat.

Good to hear about the eyes and certainly understand about the body.

I sent a message to Bumrungrad and below is their reply.
Dear Mr. John Williams ,
Greetings from Bumrungrad International Hospital.
Thank you for your e-mail.
Regarding your inquiry, we have it forwarded to the concerned department. We will get back to you shortly, once information is available.
If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
I have had the prostate enlargement for many years and tried various tablets. I find that I get along better without tablets and as I mentioned 2 Brits have spoken well of the Steam treatment.
More as they inform me.
