Do you realise how silly your last paragraph is? The account for Immigration Extensions must be SOLE ACCOUNT. OK, Bht 1.6M if wife is also on an extension. Did you actually have 1.6M in the account? And if so, did she leave 800k for your Extension. All seems a bit iffy to me. This really shows what a trusting relationship you have/had.

And one every morning at 8am to say what my balances are. Or even simply log on to his bank each day to see whether or not, wife or anyone else, has been tapping into his retirement fund.
