  1. I don't know about others, but I do if it is blatantly obvious. Someone will never learn if not taught.
  2. Recognised professions You must work in or be retired from a recognised profession and know the applicant personally. Examples of recognised professions include: accountant airline pilot articled clerk of a limited company assurance agent of a recognised company bank or building society official barrister chairman or director of a limited company chiropodist commissioner for oaths councillor - local or county civil servant - permanent dentist director, manager or personnel officer of a VAT-registered company engineer with professional qualifications financial services intermediary, for example a stockbroker or insurance broker fire service official funeral director insurance agent of a recognised company - full time journalist Justice of the Peace legal secretary - fellow or associate member of the Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs licensee of a public house local government officer manager or personnel officer of a limited company member, associate or fellow of a professional body Member of Parliament Merchant Navy Officer minister of a recognised religion including Christian Science nurse - registered officer of the armed services optician paralegal - certified, qualified or associate member of the Institute of Paralegals person with honours - OBE or MBE pharmacist photographer - professional police officer Post Office official president or secretary of a recognised organisation Salvation Army Officer social worker solicitor surveyor teacher or lecturer trade union officer travel agent - qualified valuer or auctioneer - fellow or associate member of the incorporated society Warrant Officer or Chief Petty Officer Professions that are not accepted You cannot confirm someone’s identity if you: are a doctor, unless you state you know the applicant well (for example they’re a good friend) and you recognise them easily from their photo work for HM Passport Office work at UK Visas and Immigration and are involved with applications for British citizenship or right of abode in the UK Do you think that the Applicants retired Chiropodist, Optician or Dentist is more qualified than your Doctor? This list was so obviously made up by some stupid jobs-worth in the Passport Office with very little thought and who cannot begin each profession with a capital letter. That's how I missed minister of a recognised religion including Christian Science. A Rastafarian accepted? No problem, my son has used a friend who works on the oil rigs to say that he knows my Grand-daughter's father, my son, and his job is not on the list, unless maybe, he was a Sally Army Officer in a previous life. 555
  3. I did briefly check, which is why I quoted some of this month's posts from you. True, you cannot have memories of the future.
  4. Woke? What's that?
  5. Are you saying that YOU, Street Cowboy, have not posted for 11 years? This month alone, Wet Floors with Don G, yourself about your bike, America being free to Negita, the Universe with Jeff the Chef, and Look at Me with Celsius.......and many more
  6. Will it not be pegged at what you were getting when you ''left'' UK' if you leave after retirement?
  7. So if someone was caught claiming full Pension increases while still living here, would the DWP not want some of it back.
  8. I would say yes, the documents are sent, via Courier, to UK HMPO, all 32 copies of all the passport pages, even empty ones. I can understand that as some stupid Immigration man had stamped Page 26 a couple of years ago, not in sequence with all the other in/out stamps. Copies of Birth Certificates may be non-returnable, but not the Originals if you sent them. Even your old Passport is returned. Why in these days of secure sending of documents is the post still being used, flying all those dead trees around the world.
  9. Believe it or not Mr Jori, I produced that myself, no AI, Chat GPT or anything. It just seemed a logical thing to say or ask. Sorry you did not think the same as I did.
  10. Yes, but who makes the rules. Some of those persons seem very silly to me....a chiropodist but NOT a Doctor. A Sally Army Officer but NOT a Vicar or Priest.
  11. Unfortunatly, the Gubment apply one rule to Outer Slobonia, and another to Inner Slobonia (Thailand & Phillpines)
  12. It's called Due Dilligence. Check things out YOUSELF, not wait to be told years later.
  13. There are two ways to keep a Retirement Extension. Bht 800k in your own bank for a year (down to 400k for part of the year) Or 65k per calendar month from abroad into your bank showing as a Foreign Transfer. OR if you are lucky, an IO who will allow the Combination Method, or roughly 400k in bank and 40k per month, totalling over 800k. That's it.
  14. Problem there is if someone returns to UK and tells DWP they are 'back for good', they will ask how long have they been out of UK, deduct any increases you have got illegally since then. Then they will keep their eye on your Passport comings and goings.
  15. Please explain how that works. You go back to UK for how long?
  16. So is it OK to eat eggs for lunch or dinner?
  17. Not sure, but I certainly did.
  18. No-one writes such clever lyrics these days, shame.
  19. Talk about incorrect signage. 200 metres from our local school, and schools in other places, there is 30 on a blue background ie Minimum Speed. 100 meters later they are correct.
  20. I, Jack Wright is so good. Binged all 6 episodes. The Feud on Channel 5 is also very good.
  21. The Holy WHAT? It is 2025 not 33 AD. What does the Koran say about it?
