  1. I gave MOS Burger a try last night and was quite pleased with it.

Originally I was put off by the pictures of the burgers (Huge piece of Tomato looked yuk!) However after Thaiflyer1 posted the menu, I decided to give it a try.

I ordered the MOS Cheeseburger (Beware! They make a spicy version of this and I was lucky that the lady at the counter confirmed with me that I wanted spicy. She had to change my order when I told her that I didn't want it spicy.. - A spicy cheeseburger? yuk)

My Thai boyfriend (Who is usually HATES burgers) decided to give it a try and also ordered a Hamburger.

I thoroughly enjoyed my cheeseburger, and my boyfriend said it was actually the first ever burger he has ever enjoyed. The chips were nice also, not the usual thin McD's/KFC style chips but nice thick chunky ones.

For the price, I would definitely prefer an MOS Burger compared to McDonalds.. Im impressed!

Next time I will be trying one of their Sausage buns..

  2. I mainly go there for the restaurants, Cosmetic stores and Book stores.

The Clothes shops in there do nothing for me.

I also use the Cinema there however prefer The Avenue for that since its closer to home.

Still disappointed with the shops there. I was looking forward to "TopShop" opening, as that is quite a popular shop in the UK with nice affordable clothes.

Was happy to see that it had already opened when I went there a couple of days ago. Walked in, Had all the sales people completely surround me like they hadn't had a customer all day, saw a white cotton shirt, 3,200 baht, walked back out again.

3,200 baht for a plain cotton shirt? I'll stick to Theprasit Market, thanks! :o

  3. I also have this barking problem with my dog, however I am not the one out walking the dog, but my dog barks at another guys dog who he walks past my house several times a day. Every time they pass my gate, my dog barks like crazy.

However, unlike the people the OP has come across, Its not the guy who I blame for all the noise, but its my own dog.

I would never dream of complaining to anyone and telling them to refrain from walking past my house with their dog. I do not own the Soi.

I wouldn't change your routine for these people.

  4. Yawn !!!

Congratulations for the demonstration of a stellar attitude. As a keeper of a protected species, what is your position on the 2007 paper authored by Lee R. Hagey, Bryan G. Fry and Helena Fitch-Snyder that discussed the use of the brachial gland exudate as a defensive toxin? You obviously understand and recognize that the gland secretion is used as a defensive toxin. I'm impressed because the folks at the Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species in San Diego CA in conjunction with the School of Medicine, University of Melbourne (Australia) took a long time to write up a specific handling protocol. Perhaps you could share your tips with them.

    For those that still wish to encourage poaching and other criminal activity, here's a reminder from awhile back;

Slow Lorises Smuggler Eludes Arrest In Thailand (Edited for highlights only)

German Press Agency, March 1, 2007

Bangkok- ..........police are looking for Kawarabuki Nobuhito who checked in his luggage on a Thai Airways International (THAI) flight bound for Tokyo on February 24 but never boarded the plane at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. Airport authorities, made suspicious by noises coming from Nobuhito's luggage, upon investigation found 23 baby slow lorises crammed in tiny cages inside. One of the animals died from suffocation but the remainder were placed under the care of a government-run wildlife sanctuary. "This is the fourth case of a Japanese national attempting to smuggle slow lorises from Thailand to Japan so we can assume the market for this pet is on the rise," said Mook Wongchyakul, a spokesperson for WildAid Foundation in Thailand. Three Japanese were arrested for slow lorises smuggling last year (2006) Mook said. "We are talking with the nature crime police and customs about conducting an investigation into this illegal trade between Thailand and Japan," said Nirath Nipanant, Chief of Wildlife Checkpoint at Suvarnabhumi Airport.......................

Is it so hard for good intentioned people to think first and to act responsibly?

You seriously have too much time on your hands... :o

    Where is the 'yawning' Icon?

  5. I don't think they are allowed in without a foreigner with them. That's why you hardly see any Thai Men in Gogo bars.

I know this because a few years back, a guy who used to serve us every day in a restaurant we used to eat at, asked if I would accompany him to a Gogo bar, because he really wanted to go but they would not allow him to enter if he was not with a foreigner.

  6. For 300 Baht a month, and with around 20 channels to watch, it is good value.

I also have UBC Platinum, and hardly watch it, I find more latest movies and shows on Sophon better

I agree! I have both TrueVisions (UBC) and Sophon cable. There seems to be always something to watch on Sophon. I think its well worth the money.. (However Im paying 450 baht/2TV's :o )

  7. Those guys on walking street who walk around like they are something special call themselves "Translators" .... Can any of them actually speak any fluent Thai?

An 'Ex' friend of mine used to be one of those Volunteers. He could not speak or understand a word of Thai yet he was allowed to stroll down walking street in one of those stupid 'uniforms'??

    "Translators" ?

Don't make me laugh.... :o:D :D More like a bunch of wannabe's walking down walking street with their chest pumped up, stubborn looking faces, trying to look something special.

  8. Out and around Pattaya today Monday 13-04, and at many localities have the hooligan brigade perched and parked on street corners etc with their bins full of dirty water whilst they are using hose pipes, water guns and other equipment spraying all and sundry on busy main roads.

    Disasterous and highly dangerous.

Are these people totally retarded or what?!

    Yes.

    :o

  9. By the way he is not in Cambodia as reported in another blog. I saw him last night and no it was not in Thailand.

Yup... and Elvis was there as well.

    :D :D Nice one..

Exactly the way I was thinking :o

  10. Ill be moving house soon, so Ill need to buy all new furniture.. eg. Computer tables, TV cabinets, Computer Chairs, Sofa, Dining Table ect.

I have seen several open air furniture shops around Pattaya but just wondering if anyone knows of a good one with nice furniture at decent prices. I don't need anything fancy, Just something that looks nice at a reasonable price.

I'm looking for somewhere that will put the furniture together and deliver it.

    Thanks for any help :o

Behind the Big C on 2nd Road is a big open air place that has the best prices in the area.

They will of course deliver and you can haggle on the prices if you buy a few pieces ( all these places basically sell the same stuff).

    www.wee-mobelart.com

Obviously you have some connection with this place (Most of your posts are advertising this same shop)

..looking for a bit of free advertising? :D

  11. 16th? It's just properly getting going in Pattaya on the 16th! 18th-19th are the days you need to hide out at home if you don't want to get involved in the complete madness.

I'll be getting out of here for the 18th-19th. Its bearable until then.

  12. Pity that as the information I posted came direct from your mouth and not via some 3rd party.

While you are patrolling the boards, please explain why you think it is right to put up videos of dead people, even if naked, prior to any post mortem...,

These are not convicted criminals, they are dead and as such you and your kind should have more respect.

I have to agree, I have even started wearing a suit and tie to bed just in case I kick the bucket during the night! Seriously - this is plain wrong in any context :o

    :D :D Ha ha...

Im not a hater of Pattaya One news, however it does disturb me a little also when people who have passed away are Videoed for all to see. Sometimes close ups of their faces, passports and slightly blurred (And still visible) naked bodies.

I wonder what would happen if it was one of Howards relatives who had passed away naked? Would he still get the news reporting crew to come around to video their naked bodies, zoom on their faces and passports? I don't think so.

Why is it that we never see the news reports of "respected" peoples deaths? Zooming on their faces, ID's ect?

Have a little respect for the deceased! :D

Unfortunately, this is not just the habit of Pattaya One news and therefor is not aimed directly at Pattaya One, but it seems to be the habit of most news Channels in Pattaya.
