the Thai parliament has organised a brainstorming session to find a way to regulate the “pretty entertainment business”
One wonders if this brainstorming session took place at an appropriate venue, such as a soapy or a go go bar?...... And where did they find someone with a brain?

Da Roadrunner chose to retire here as there were no Coyotes..... Except the dancing kind that is.

I have the same problem, when my knob starts to pulse I take him out and have him serviced and blown clean. ..... Yeah, your fan is full of crud, have it blown clean. The crud causes an imbalance in the fan causing its speed to fluctuate.

If true, he should state the name of the person who initiated he change the verdict, so the person can tell everybody why he has done it. Not just state 'someone'
If he told them who was behind it he would likely get his head blown off. There have been many cases where a Judge or a Lawyer was paid to turn a blind eye or lose a case, but I never heard of something so serious that the Judge felt the need to shoot himself. Sheeeeeeeeeeeit, what is this country coming to! If it turns out the perpetrator is someone high up it could bring down the Government.

Thailands defamation laws forbid naming and shaming hospitals that either overcharged or were guilty of malpractice.
Yet, there is nothing to stop us all creating a list here on Thai Visa of GOOD Hospitals, where we were not overcharged and received good care.
I would like to start the list but cannot think of any hospital I have used here that I would recommend!
Such a list would be most useful to us all.....
-
Gentlemen.... I see the potential for us to list all hospitals here which have given good care without overcharging. Spread the word.
In fact I will open just such a thread.
-
Have you noticed how one is not supposed to post any racist comments on this board, yet it is ok for Thai hospitals to be racist.
+20%,.... double charging is the norm for Farangs.

Some offices accept reporting by postal mail (just saying).
I read on the immigration website that the postal application must arrive not less than 15 days in advance. But who knows what each immigration office thinks! And what if it gets lost in the post?
I wish they would sort out their mess, I am unable to do it online. When I asked about this I got no help nor explanation at CW.

(they have dedicated temperature controlled holds for transporting animals - usually max of 2 animals per flight).
That is assuming they load your critter into the correct hold and someone informs the pilot who in turn remembers to turn the heat and air on! A Veterinarian informed me that most animals he has experience of sending by air, come out freezing cold and several died. It is minus 60 degrees at 30,000 ft!
Best to hand carry the cat yourself on the plane. Safe.
I have hand carried and flown a cat Bkk to San Francisco with Korean Air, transit connection in Korea was several hours but cat was accepted in the Incheon transit air terminal hotel with me.
1. The airlines all have different regs on the maximum size the cat carrying box must be. This appears to be based on the box being able to fit between the seats (and every model of aircraft is different, so what is accepted on one flight may not fit on your connecting flight).
2. A maximum of two animals / flight.
3. USA did not ask for any medical papers. But this reg may have changed, so check with US Embassy and airline.
The Korean air crew were alright but not overly enthusiastic, (they eat cats in Korea!)
Cats hate to be moved and need to be kept in their new home for several days before being allowed outdoors, or they have a habit of wandering off in search of their old home.

Not sure what your actual inquiry is? If you are thinking of getting a Visa to run an Airbnb business, this is not going to happen. Most get an ordinary Visa and do Airbnb on the quiet, providing you own the property. If you are renting the property then most lease agreements do not allow sublets.

It might seem a stupid question to you at your age, but not all of us are as old as you are!

If your dogs are contained, then there is no problem,
There is still a problem, with the noise they make. Your typical western dog will bark if someone comes to your house, but Thai dogs will bark for no reason. There are three opposite my apartment that I would like to terminate. The owner seems oblivious to the noise. Why do Thais love noise and cannot abide silence?

They tend to pick girls tall enough to go up against the giant western girls at Miss World. Ah well, more short cute dark brown ones for the rest of us. As for their white skin; white foundation and flash photography makes em look whiter than they actually are. Lady Roadrunner is as brown as a bears bum, but looks white when I photograph her. At just 5' 2" she would never make it to Miss Thailand but is far more cute than any of these girls.

So should someone have a Will from their country of origin, or one drawn up in Thailand, or both?
I certainly would not trust a Thai lawyer to handle the proceeds honestly!

Thailand is aiming to become a country with high average income in the next 17 years, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha told his audience......
Does this infer he also expects to still be in power 17 years from now?

The babe is an obvious pain in the <deleted> type, of which there are far too many among the Thais, so why take her anywhere? No fool like an old fool. Hasta la vista babe.

Think you've got problems? I am 1.88m and only 66kg / 13% body fat.... but then, I am a Roadrunner and can go like a rocket! We are all built differently. Fast metabolism has a lot to do with it, if you are this type you burn protein up faster than you can eat it. The upside is I can eat anything I like and never get fat!
As for the body fat part, as I am bird brained, I suspect that's the 13% between my ears.
I must try to eat more, but unfortunately my favourite food, pu$$y, is non-fattening.

They also told me that it was no problem because none of the accommodation places in Phuket were doing the TM30 thing.
They added that the whole system would likely be scrapped in a few months' time.
Last I heard they were going to make an APP for the TM30. But if hotels are ignoring it I cannot see how they can enforce it. For sure it is damaging hotel revenue as people can't be arsed to do the TM30 and so choose to stay at home.
In protest, I am also ignoring it and prefer to pay a fine instead.
I am insulted that they treat us like a child who has to ask teacher for permission to go to the bathroom.

how was your sex life in the uk?
I have my complaints about Thailand, but a visit to the UK is guaranteed to remind me of why I left the land of the living dead. I return with a severe case of Cockitis, (for which there is no known cure). Fortunately 'therapy' is available in places like Pattaya. No need to visit Immigration, just visit Soi 6 and get your 'extension' seen to.

I recall my first encounter with one of these trains was being on a station platform in Holland. I was puzzled why the yellow no go zone was like nearly 20 foot back from the platform edge. Then the French TGV came through at full speed. The vacuum it created nearly sucked me off the platform. I can think of better ways of being sucked off.
Imagine what's going to happen when the Thais are let loose with this thing.

The only way to get things done here. Constant, relentless, unforgiving pressure until something gives.
I note the omission of a Hong Kong style street protest. I guess we would never get Farangs to band together like that.
I was going to suggest a sit-in protest at Chaengwattana Immigration but no one would notice the difference.

OP, what Visa is your friend in Thailand on?
Only reason I ask is there was a news article on here the other day where the Chief IO in Phuket said the TM30 wasn't required for people on Visa Exempt, Tourist Visa, Investment Visa or Work Visa - In other words only required if you're on a Non-O for Marriage or > 50
Retirement Visa .... surprise surprise!
