  1. Recent lab tests show my body to be full of plastic of all things.

BPA stands for Bisphenol A. BPA is an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1960s. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles.

So it is not only the water quality we have to worry about.

It was going downhill long before Covid, and now it's well and truly gone forever.

True, but the Thais have their idiot heads stuck so far up their own a*** they cannot see reality.

  3. Still, I would like to know what the Porsche 911s, Aston Martin and Nissan GTRs sell for. Being at present abroad for medical treatment, I am unable to attend the auction this year. Maybe next years.

If any of you you decide to attend the auction, kindly let me know the sale prices. Thanks.

Below is the current Thai online price.

Why use a Big Mac as a yardstick? To ascertain the true state of the economy we need to do a similar comparison on the price of pu$$y. I know which I would rather eat!

I'm afraid, like everybody else wanting to travel abroad, you're just going to have to wait patiently for this madness to end.

It is Thai madness so do not hold your breath waiting for logic, sanity, or even basic common sense to prevail.

You can't own a house in Thailand, Dutch farang! So don't bs the Thai immigration about owning a house here.

You CAN own a house, but NOT the land its on. Another example of Thai madness, just where else would anyone put a house!

Just disconnect the battery when you leave the car for a long period, and renonnect it on return.

Many cars have electrical systems that drain the battery even when the car is parked up. But disconnecting only works for a limited time, depending on the age / strength of your battery. There comes a point where the battery will not recover and you buy a new one.

  7. Depends whether your engine is the interference type or not. If it is, when the chain breaks, the pistons and valves will have an unhappy meeting and you will get a big bill. In a non-interference type you will only have to change the chain, sprockets and tensioners. Never re-use old sprockets and tensioners with new chain, change the whole assembly.

Timing chains are capable of high mileages. As for the rubber belt type, they recommend changing every 60,000 kms.

  8. In my experience the rubber bung method mentioned above works ok.

The other ways of repairing tyres are.

    1. Vulcanising. Where they heat steam a patch on the inside. Overheating during the process can distort the tyre though.

    2. I carry a can of compressed foam in the car. Reinflates and seals in one. Temporary fix.
