I bet they never have gotten the fine of 5000 baht...that's why they now have a new rule which is confiscating their permit for 3 years.
But they still drive against traffic everywhere, causing accidents and making thailand look like a lawless place.
They ake it bloody convenient to get around too as wel running errands, paying bills, making pickups, hell they even helped me move once and one of them is my plumber/handyman.
My local win are incredibly helpful useful folks. Known some of them for 15 years and they keep an eye on things in the neighborhood too.

Immigration has been getting tough on long term stayers who stay in Thailand on a tourist visa. This isn't a scam.
Those immigration officers are obviously corrupt because they asked for a bribe.
You're obviously wrong because you should have applied for a retirement visa instead of staying long term as a tourist for the past umpteen years.
It's time to go to Philippines or Latin America if you are from America.
what post were you reading? I fail to see how any of this is unclear:

where does the op say that he intends to live full time in thailand?
why would the op apply for a retirement visa if he is a tourist who intends to stay for only 60 days?

The guy is not from this earth.
Some sort of Alien.
He has pushed the bar, envelope, whatever, the last few years.
An incredible riding talent, although i'm not particularly fond of him as a character, and he is certainly not my favourite rider.
Post #4, both vids blocked by Dorna. Now there's a surprise...
not if you watch in youtube like the message says

yawn.
perhaps a few additional exclamation marks will make your point more clearly.
pro tip: give it a rest, only you care. -

The fella said he was asked for a 20k bung to allow entry. The subsequent isolation tells you everything
He's 80 years of age and will well know the difference.
one would hope, but what if he doesn't?
there are a large number of posts on thaivisa labelled SCAM that upon closer inspection simply aren't.-

No, "disgusting" does absolutely not mean or infer uselessness in any way, shape or form. If you believe that, you're in serious need of a dictionary.
"In general terms something that is disgusting wouldn't really be useful to you" – No, that's absolutely not correct. Plenty of things are disgusting but useful, such as cod liver oil, ambergris, leeches, and so on.
ho there don quixote, the internet is your friend, you do not need to win it!

My focus was never on the owner. It was always on their many foreign "boyfriends" aka "customers" or as I call them, victims.
You need to get over it. You are becoming shrill. Anyways I can't be bothered with you any longer. Have a lovely day.

Never been ripped by a Thai hooker here, because I have never been in a relationship with one, nor will I ever be.
I had a fair and amicable divorce in my home country, so no problem there.
Back on topic to these Thai gogo thieves.
Now they have been robbed, why are you such a bleeding heart for them????
You never said.
Because I beleive an employee sgmhould be paid.
It really is that simple.
They were promised a wage, they put in the time, they deserve pay.

the only positive about FiloLand... they don't do Halloween, as it is called All Saints Day, and everyone spends it by a Family Crypt...
i suspect you have spent limited time in the philipines, and none of it over the week that contains halloween, I however have been there for the last 5 Halloweens and remain in contact with a group of friends there.
they are crazy for halloween, and manage to turn it into at least a 3 or 4 day event with multiple parties and in some cases a few different costumes, especially the women.
my instagram is barraged with Halloween "stories" and pictures of haloween carnage.-

Walter Goggins is a great actor IMO, especially in Justified. In Sons if Anarchy he was hilarious.
May give the Unicorn a try since you say it is watchable. Tried watching The Righteous Gemstones, because of Walter and others in the cast, but was disappointed

not much of a tourist trade in heroin or morphine on phangan when i was local. that didnt really start to happen until you have been there for a while or arrived with an addiction.
I haven't spent much time there in the last 5 years though, and i was never tight with that scene, though you knew who was who.
10-20 years ago, there were some specific junkie beaches, not sure if that is still the case.
no shortage of needles coming off the sides of fishing boats either as i recall.there is stupid, then there is dealing drugs from your harley. he would have been more low key in a lambo.

black spot (zone blanche) on netflix is ok thus far, just heading into season 2.
my only caveat is the subtitling, i have just enough french that i feel a bit of nuance is lost in a relatively non-literal translation. -

this story certainly seem at odds with other reports:
https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/crime/british-man-arrested-on-koh-phangan-over-local-drug-chargesQuote36 year old Matthew Beresford was stopped after “acting suspiciously”. He was riding his Harley Davidson at the time. Police searched his room found 0.4 grams of heroin, 0.2 grams of MDMA, 51 grams of morphine and 185 grams of marijuana. None of the amounts of drugs seized were trafficable quantities. The police charged Beresford with possessing illegal drugs. They also seized his two motorbikes, a car and 15,000 baht in cash.that 51 grams of morphine seems a tad excessive for personal use...
