  1. And would any intelligent president / former president store them in a location easily accessible by the pubic / restaurant goers at his resort? Just another example, trump thinks he's god and he can make the rules / make new rule / make new laws as he see fit, on any subject. He publicly stated to the crown, on the day he was swollen in: "I am your president of law and order". Right there / right then his lies / untruths / total lack of respect for the law and for all US citizens started.
  2. Nice try, but other posts indicate the opposite.
  3. I wonder how many have missed / often missed refresher training regarding deployment of the slides and getting all passengers out within international regulations about max. time to get all out?
  4. Get over it. She's not innocent. Her guilt was well proven in a proper court.
  5. Agree. Many would be concerned regarding anybody making posts which are incorrect / biased / untruthful / lies.
  6. Good point. I live with Thai family is a gated moo bahn in Chiang Mai, 410 houses, total number of farang is 3.
  7. Included in these numbers is foreigners with Permanent Residence.
  8. Well your wrong, it's a uni student / lecturer canteen, for what it is the food is quite good. Nobody is expecting it to be professional restaurant quality.
  9. No, you should learn to read and comprehend better and use more accurate sources and quote the sources. As it is your posts are full of totally wrong and totally misleading information and I suspect that's very deliberate on your part. You have been criticized more times for totally wrong and totally misleading information, your objective is obvious, pump up a liar and con-man by using his lies etc.
  10. On that point, yes portability is dependant on returning for 2 years to 're-establish a home'. My experience: - I flew to Sydney (I was already aware from lots of reading that 'the 2 years starts on the day the citizen arrives in Australia. - I: Quickly went to the local Centrelink office and got a CRN Centrelink Reference number Showed various cards etc., to prove my ID Submitted my 2 completed OAP application forms (C'link local officer submitted the documents by using their multi document multi purpose machine in the local office. (I was aware from talking to the C'link officer that the OAP application is mostly processed by computer under supervision in Canberra / It's not processed at all in local C'link branch offices. 17 Days later (yes 17 days) I got a call from Canberra to tell me my OAP was approved. The pleasant young man explained very clearly and asked me to repeat my Aust. bank a/c number and he confirmed he had the same number. He explained that the back payment would be in the bank before lunch the next day and it was. - About 10 days after the 2 years I called the Older Australians Line (C'link) 132300 and said to the lady that I didn't really understand what Portability meant. She politely explained. Can automatically receive the payments anywhere in the world for life paid direct into any bank account I nominated. She shared that It can be a joint savings account, preferably with a family member. I asked about what are the rules about signing for withdrawals from my bank. She laughed a little them said 'That your business totally, C'link has no policy or rules about that. - I then asked 'Can you please tell me If I am entitled to Portability? - Response 'give me one minute to get that screen' then 'Yes you qualified about 10 days ago. Do you need more information how to process?' I responded: 'Please tell me if my payments decrease If I move abroad?' C'link lady response 'Your OAP amount and the supplement amount don't change but your energy and rent assistance will stop' I responded 'I guess it's now up to me to decide If I want to go abroad permanently and then advise C'link' She replied YES but please tell us quickly online when you leave Australia so that there's no complications and so we can easily contact you by telephone if needed, we do already have the dates you depart / arrive in Australia from our 24/7 link to Immigration / passport records. The main thing is to give us your banking details abroad. She continued 'I'm sending you the Banking abroad form to your e.mail right now' She continued 'please be sure that the bank account name and bank account number are very clear. She continued 'the C'link bank form for payments abroad must have full details of the bank abroad, a bank stamp and must be signed by the branch / assistant branch manager'. She asked several times if I had any questions, then she gave me a dedicated e.mail address for Services Australia to return the completed bank form. She added' it's up to you but can I suggest you make a word document, no need for any special boxes or special formatting just type in all the details from the hand written C'link form, print it and add that document to the completed C'link document and e.mail both documents to the Services Australia e.mail address. I did all the above quickly, then 2 or 3 days later I got a call (in Thailand) from the Service Australia office, the very polite young man wanted to double check all the banking details. For the bank account number he said 'can you please tell me the first 3 numbers of your bank account number then I will repeat them back to you by reading from the document I have here in Brisbane. This continued until he was happy that there was no chance of any mistake. Then he said 'you will now be transferred to the 4 weekly payment cycle and the first payment will be transferred to K bank on xx/xx/xxxx and it was. Again any questions and then he gave me a direct telephone line number if needed. The first payment was received on the date he had advised and I got an e.mail a day before explaining how the payment total had been calculated.
  11. My Thai granddaughter is in her second year of her Bachelor Of English in Civil Society at CMU (all conducted in English) and the 1 year of Japanese language study is conducted in English by a Japanese lecturer. G/daughter says CMU is very friendly and staff / students very helpful (and seems that's enhanced in the last 5 years or so when the uni retired a large number of old mostly female dragon professors in many faculties). She's mentioned that Maya shopping centre is popular with students and lots of good coffee shops / restaurants / small restaurants with good food. CMU and Maya are both not so far from CM airport. G/daughter often uses BOLT from her faculty area or from Maya to get home, her father (my Thai son) asks her regularly if the BOLT service is reliable and on time, always YES, and he asks if the drivers even suggest 'other activities', answer NEVER. Actually she's a professional swimmer, very fit and has studies martial arts and she's not easily intimidated. With her father she made a plan. If anything untoward happened quickly and loudly demand the driver stop and get the door open a little to be sure driver can't lock passenger in the car. If driver doesn't stop hold the car door fully open and yell HELP at all passing cars.
  12. Contact the uni and ask.
  13. BOLT seems to be very well managed, I've used them many time. also my uni student granddaughter, here in Chiang Mai but always using a car. I called them once (in CM) to ask for clarification of something (I forget the details). The Thai BOLT office lady spoke excellent English and a good listener. She mentioned that BOLT is very focused on customers and keen to communicate as needed. The issue was fixed instantly. Using their cars a couple of times they have changed the car rego number because they've discovered the driver has agreed to a further trip for the current passenger. But the new Rego number has appeared on my screen very quickly.
  14. Waiting for dolf to define (his definition) of marxist views.
  15. Aware of this. My buddy at primary school missed many days. Why? His mother would stop him at the front door from leaving the house to go to school. She then gave him a prepared list of the work he had to do that day at home. Always a long list, more than a days work. She sat in the living room with her older sister drinking tea and gin all day. Mother often yelled for her son to come to the living room with a strap and she proceeded to give him the strap across his bare* buttocks and his legs. *He had to take off his shorts and underwear and was prohibited from covering his genitals and his mother would also smack his genitals with the palm of her hand and make him fall over. Then she would make him sit in a sofa chair so his bare area could be seen by his mom and her sister and eat his lunch which he had prepared himself to take to school. He mentioned several time that his father knew about all of this but father did nothing because he was very frightened of his wife who had previously several times beat him up using the same strap.
  16. In other words he's been successful at conning some of the the working classes to believe he will change everything back to when it was good for them. Nice idea but not reality. Life changes / things change / new ideas / concepts / cost etc., etc., mean everything will over time change. And don't forget trumps financing come from 2 areas; - tricking his MAGA followers into giving him hundreds of millions of dollars which will never produce anything for his MAGA followers. - Big business which can gain cost / tax benefits from trumps less than ethical policies. He's a conman... nothing more.
  17. Read the article again, your six word summary is less than accurate.
  18. Love to know also, please share. And do you mean the purchaser is a farang or a Thai? And what is the background colour on the card? And if it's your name (assuming that it's a non-thai person) is the name written in: - Thai language - English language - Both Thai and English languages? And is there an expiry date on the card? What language?
  19. But don't forget only a small part of trumps much touted wall was ever built. (and the Mexicans never paid for it.)
  20. And of course keeping in mind that there's very probably a number of senior cops (many who have scaly history) who would try anything to bring him down including false charges.
  21. Well a bit more harsh punishment than the ladyboys on Pattaya Beach Rd at night who rough up tourists and steal gold necklaces. Often caught, taken to the local police station (5 minutes walk), fined 100Baht and told to go home. Many have been fined 100Baht multiple times.
  22. I suggest you broaden your point, 'not starting a war' is not the only valid point to assess a president. There is also the point that some wars (not many) were appropriate.
